Im predicted a 55%, just because most critics will blast the movie for not being an in depth plot filled movie

I am thinking a little higher, maybe somewhere in the upper sixties. I can't see it going more than lower seventies though.

We're good. I'd guess 40-60 just cause critics are dicks.

    35%.

    This is how they work:

    Bay film: automatically deduct 50%
Based on a toyline: automatically deduct 20%
    Action film: automatically deduct 15%
    Spielberg: add 10%
    Shia's performance: add 10%

I agree. Critics are most likely going to tear this movie a new one.

Funny because it's true, unfortunately. I just hope everyone else has the sense to realise this.

I think it'll be above 65%. I think everyone on this board is so used to being let down by critics on the movies they look forward to that they damn near expect bad reviews on everything that is even remotely action-related or sci-fi and peaks nerd interest.

Shia, the fact that this appears to be Bay's best movie comparatively, the CGI, and characterization of the Autobots should put this movie over the top critically. The reviewers will bring up some of the weaker story elements of the film, but will green-light it because in comparison with the lackluster sequels of this summer and last, this film is a bright light.

    Oh, and one more thing.

There's no way Star Wars Ep. III was a good movie, and look at the reviews it got. Don't despair! Transformers will reign supreme!

It's at 78% right now, and the ones that gave it 0, 1.5, .5, 1 star, haven't seen the movie yet, they just hate either Bay movies or the new TF designs. They admit it either there or elsewhere on other movie review sites. The positive reviews came from people who have actually seen the movie, and say it's the best action movie so far this year.
In other news, it's got an 8.5 on IMDB, higher than all three Spider-Man movies, and Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

    16%

If it goes below 80% I shall officially no longer care about RottenTomatoes.com

There's a pretty positive review on IGN, the guy gave it 3.5 out of five, better than average, that's I'm sticking with. I'm pretty sure a lot of journalists are going to piss and moan about the lack of depth while deep down they're probably going to get blown away by the sheer level of action.(they always seem to forget that summer flicks aren't the deep one's).

I seriously don't about the ratings...all I'm hoping is that the movie makes tons of money to ensure its commercial success to fuel MORE toys! And er, movies!
