so, I have been thinking about what we might see in the teaser trailer, and I am curious to hear your ideas and predictions

I think we could at least see some shots of optimus fighting that dragon monster from the new york poster (I still think its megatron), and maybe hot rod and the main humans

 

One of two things:

1) What Cade is up to, what Lennox is up to, what the Autobots are doing on earth, some action, then ending with Optimus and the dragon.

or

2) Mainly focus on all of the flashback stuff with the knights, kind of like how the DOTM teaser focused on the moon landing.

 

I personally always imagined a hypothetical teaser with OP and/or Anthony Hopkins narrating.

OR...

Teaser with some voiceover from whoever but not detail plot much, interspersed with setpieces, etc.

I already imagined some loose sceanes of the arthurian stuff in the same style of those ancient battle sceanes from the inferno trailer (in 0:59)

Could really see a teaser like that coming out in December. Would be really interesting to see.

 

The only worthwhile parts of the film. You know, like every trailer these days!

 

you're making assumptions! How do you know they'll be worthwhile parts in this film?  

 

Based on how the only thing I liked about AoE was the trailers were lacking the massive amounts of disapointment. Kind of like Star Wars Episode I - except in AoE everybody was Jar Jar as far as I'm concerned.

 

I hope the trailer comes out in time for Rogue One so I can hear the collective groans in the theater opening night when the trailer comes on.

 

If it's coming later this year I'd think it's going to be similar to what DOTM did:
Either it contains some scenes that were filmed early (Cuba?) or that are mostly CGI (Prime in space?). The moon landing was the first scene they were filming for DOTM so that ended up being the teaser.

If it's coming early next year it will probably be more like AOE's teaser:
Not really what you would call a "teaser" but rather a standard trailer, beginning with some longer scenes of exposition, showing more and more action in short bursts and ending on some big reveal (Prime vs Dragon?).

seen it ... dont really believe it, honestly, but I could be wrong, so apologies in advance if that is the case

its just that I have seen this kind of posts happening a lot last time (aoe) ... there was even one guy who said his brother described the whole trailer for him, and that it included a giant squid transformer monster coming out of the water

 

Very good guesses, but there is one more strong possibility. Just like DOTM's teaser had the moon landing and Sentinel, I could see the trailer being a CGI scene with some combination of Optimus, Megatron/Galvatron, and the Creators in space or on an alien ship. That could be neat in my opinion.

 

I can tell you what will happen with almost complete certainty, just by going off of the Teasers we've gotten this early for past movies. We'll see the flashback scenes that shows a part of Earth history, and something that links TFs to it. I'm sure it will be the scenes involving the Stonehenge, Medieval Knights and WWII. We might see just one of those or we'll be extremely lucky and get all three. We might see one TF that's linked to those times. If Anthony Hopkins is truly the keeper of an ancient artifact, we'll probably see him.

 

I am guessing the trailer will be 90% random or pointless stuff (including the so-called past connections) and 10% transformers

I am hoping he get to either see optimus, megatron or the dragon thing towards the end

Wouldn't be surprised if the medieval scenes make up most of the trailer.

It would be completely badass to have a short, 1 minute trailer with just a slow pan over a cavalcade of knights on horses, anticipating a battle. Maybe the leader is giving some rousing speech. Camera is slowly panning around, ends up behind the knights.

In the distance, a Transformer.

Smash cut to title.

 

Whatever happens, it'll definitely make me go "oh shit" (or something similar) more than once!
