Hey guys i was wondering if you could please help me out? I have a Universe Sunstreaker lying around, mocking me because he dared me to repaint him and i cant think of any cool ideas so im asking you guys what you think i should do with him? I dont have a very comprehensive knowledge of all the popular g1 transformers characters that this toy could be turned into you see so thats why im looking for some advice.

Lookign through Radicons everyones done Punch/Counter punch, same for Wheeljack, Tracks etc so what would you do if this was your toy and you wanted to paint it into something that hasnt been done so many times before?

BTW just so we are clear id be putting this up on ebay if it came out well as i have no interest in keeping my own customs because my mind works in weird ways and...well...lets just say having my own customs on my shelves drives me nuts because i get all OCD and cant stop picking them apart and thinking about what i could have done better, even if theres nothing actually wrong with it. Dont know if thats just me or if anybody else here has that same problem?
Anyway i just wanted to clear that up incase someone suggests a great idea and i do it then sell it and nobody gets their feelings hurt or kicks up a shit storm about it, ok? Obviously credit would be given where its due if all went well so i wouldnt claim the idea as my own or anything. Im not like that.

You could always add some chrome to the roof mounted engines and some of the details from G1 Sunstreaker like the black skirting in car mode.
Maybe mod the left hand so that it can be interchanged for a missile?

 

Kup - with some heavy modding. Been planning one out for the better part of a year after seeing the transformation on Sunstreaker. Still have one MISB and ready to go when I find the time.

How about a G2 Sunstreaker. There's no such thing, I know, but looking into the repaints from that line, you can try thinking of colors that could've been used for his mold in G2.

 

how about plain old Sunstreaker. I don't think it's been done yet....

I think what F_R meant was that you could repaint him to have a nice paint-job instead of just yellow plastic. Also, you could make him more G1 accurate (black forearms, yellow upperlegs and fists).

I've been considering a reshell with an old countach model kit, but they are a pain in the arse to find in 1/32 scale.

Understood, but at the same time if you are good at something never do it for free (as the joker once said  . Im not being greedy though..if i was greedy i wouldnt be working on just 1 deluxe would i lol!)
I want to do this cos i need a bit of extra cash and i just happen to have this toy lying around doing nothing so i wouldnt have to pay anything out to make it as i already have all the paint, and a small deluxe wouldnt take long to paint and if i sold it that would be some easy cash that could really help out right now ya know?
I just dont want to waste my time with an idea that wont be popular enough to pull in a few decent bids on ebay hence why i posted up the thread. The police car or g1 streaker ideas are tempting though. Funny cos my good friend suggested the g1 streaker idea just the other day too. A sign mebbie?
