(It's spelled "you're" in this context, BTW.)

You have a point there. I know that I'm worrying a lot about offending a major corporation that won't even notice and is still going to get my money anyway. But like I said, I've never had this problem with Transformers before. And I'm not mad at Hasbro/Takara/Tomy about it, either - it's purely a matter of taste.

Give it to me for free, I know I know it sounds cliche, but think of all the joy I will have repainting and combining them, do you relaly want to let me down man?

Ya, there is no store that has an un-opened policy on toys.

I don't know who your considering a major retail chain.

But Wal-Mart, TRU, KB(if there are any left) , Target, K-Mart are all the stores I can think about.

Thread question: Display it in the back (if it's a TF) otherwise I just give it to my nephew. I feel kinda bad cause my niece doesn't get anything :p

Poll question: Just take it back, buy what you want.

In that case, definitely take it back. Donation is a nice thing to do, but only if you can afford it.

Unless it's a very recent change, I've never had any problem returning opened items to Target (with receipt) and getting a refund. If all else fails, just tell the person at the returns desk that it's broken or the limbs won't connect right or something vague.

I can honestly say that this is not entirely true. I worked at target and thew only thing we would not take back opened was video games and movies music and the like. If it is in a condition that they can resell it they will. And at target if you used check or deibt/credit card no receipt requried :D

Checked the return policy and it states the item must be in new condition not that it must be unopened. As long as they can resell it they dont care at all.

Don't worry about it man. They plan for this kind of thing by baking in the cost of the few returns into all of the other purchases that are kept.

It's like how paying interest on a credit card pays for the people who don't pay theirs. All that risk is assessed and is factored into calculating where the interest rate is set.

It's not like you're scamming the system. You purchased an item that you did not like and are invoking your consumer rights. At worst they'll give you store credit and you can get something else you want.

That leaves selling it to someone online.

If the window of oppurtunity still exist then i'd return it at the store. for either cash or store credit.

If the toy isn't in the store computers anymore & it's impossible to return. then I'd sell it on ebay.

You shouldn't feel guilty about returning it. If you are not happy with the purchase you have every right to return it and get your money back.

Return it man. I have returned open TFs to Target and Wal*Mart. I always put them nicely back in the box and return it. The only store that you NEED a receipt for even an exchange is TRU. If you paid cash and no receipt Wal*mart and Target will give you store credit.

meh just return it, pcc 5 sets come in those reusable boxes with nice vacuum formed holder, just retape box with inch wide packaging tape and most people wont even notice the twisties are gone, even if you return it the honest way as opened, target won't have problem reselling it with some discount. what i really hate is people returning carded figures with the card ripped and all messed up and walmart put it back on shelf expecting people to buy it for the same price as mosc figures.

    My stores allow me too.

I think you should return it.

Or sell it (but only for an inflated price).

    The best option here.

Who doesn't like silly little boots? I know I do!
