Needs moar Hoist driving Huffer...
There we go!
Like MMC FR, it's perfect. Also, should have proper elbow joints, like Feral Rex or Ares or Giant, and NOT like the WB combiners or FP Menasor!!!
Very nice! How about an Ironhide being loaded in to Ratchet?
Because it's not an option on the poll
Voted for Something else: "Size is not a decisive factor. What matters is sculpt quality and paint job quality. Scale is a distant, distant priority"
Wahey! Both brilliant, and shocking that Ratchet doesn't come equipped with a gurney stretcher!
That is pretty awesome. It works on so many levels. I especially like how Ratchet in alt mode is scaled to the Autobot robot modes as if they were human size. I wish Spike were in that picture. He'd be the size of a tire, and Ratchet the ambulance would be...well...
Regarding combiners, I want MP size with each individual component bot scaled properly according to the scale chart. Then however big the combined form is...that's how I would want it.
Don't forget Ace Pilot Galvatron inside Cyclonus.
For a Jet, Cyclonus is roomy. Look at all that wiggle room Galvatron has.
(On a side note, I find it funny that Ratchet opens with a hatchback door. Whens the last time you saw a hatchback Ambulance?
Lol. Since we are using my photos....
Looks MP to me!
What other combiner bot would any owner of WT blast off say he is most like in quality?
You know there is a difference between "MP size" and "MP scale."
i think ideally id like the core bot to be sized the same as MP-10 at least. Motormaster is a good example as I always saw him as a very good opponent for Optimus, and at times, stronger.
I'm thinking for a true MP combiner the designers could workout the transformation so that the combined form gets extra height from both the combined mode feet and maybe a way to lengthen the thigh area and torso without compromising the proportions. probably head size would help too by making it a minimum of 2 inches.
1st I prefer the smaller combiners like MT/FP and any beast that MMC makes
2nd MP means nothing to me most of my collection is more CHUG anything
actually, after further thought, for a combiner, it would be either MMC FR size, or larger for the individual limbs to be MP Seeker size or leodux size too.
Poll options should have been:
Deluxe / standard chug size - FP, MT
Deluxe / bigger than average chug size - TFC
Voyager / rare chug size - MMC, Warbotron
As it is now I can't pick an option cause its all wrong/factually incorrect.
Their is no ultra or mp size yet. We would need a combiner where the limb figures are all between mp11 and mp10 size for that.
Ideally I'd prefer voyager sized limb figures cause its my favorite size of figure but a well done deluxe is a well done deluxe n fp/mt n tfc do good with that stuff.
I'd just like to add that I don't care AT ALL about how big would be the limb bots of an MP combiner. We're talking about the size of a combiner, not the sizes of the individual members. When I buy a combiner, I buy Devastator, Menasor, Defensor... Not the Constructicons, the Stunticons or the Protectobots because I'll display the combined mode most of the time so that's the more important one to me. Just like I love MP Soundwave's size: sure its alt mode is out of scale but I couldn't care less since I display Soundwave, not a microcassette recorder. This is why, IMO, the combined mode is the one that should be used to decide how big all the other modes should be, not the opposite.
And one more thing about the individual members size: just compare Feral Rex and Warlord. The former has way bigger individual modes yet the combined modes are about the same size. It's a pretty obvious example that with good engineering, you can "simulate mass shifting" to some extent.
Isn't it a bit of a partsformer though?
It's a parts former in exactly the same way that Warbotron is.
I like what Fansproject and Maketoys are doing....
They both are partsformers but none of them gain any height because of it (unless we count the feet off course).
I know it is, but it's pretty much the only way we'll get MP scale individual bots and huge ass combiners I guess.
Not really Warbo's extra bits are all used in other modes. Warlords just sit there useless.
The former is the ideal means of getting combiners to be as big as possible but the latter is the unfortunate reality we may end up with if too many companies get that lazy in the future.
