Regarless of company making it, what size combiners would you prefer?

I like the Hercules/ Feral Rex combiner size so I'll go with voyagers.

I was unaware that Hasbro's own cartoon was considered an unreliable source of Hasbro's own cartoon character sizes

Not a troll. it's common knowledge that takara/hasbro's MP line is based on robot mode scale using the official scale charts. The cartoons vary too much due to animator error.

That's my point. At some point you just have to pick a size and say to Hell with it. You CAN'T MAKE an MP Devastator (for example) that is the correct size in both combined and individual modes. Even on the much-vaunted "official scale chart" that Hasbro gave to its animators and promptly disregarded shows Mixmaster as a leg TOWERING over Mixmaster as a robot. The "official size chart" itself is a nonsensical document.

The scale chart has both mass shifted and non mass shifted scales for the combiners. I don't know of anyone asking for mass shifted scale combiners but rather bot modes scaled to the official charts like the masterpiece line itself. "nonsensical" or not to any one individual the Masterpiece line is in fact based on the official charts.

You can look at the poll results to find people who are asking for bigger than Warbo/MMC which are already talking MP-10 sized core bots.

Considering that the combiner core bots are SUPPOSED to be smaller than Prime....

MP Motor Master, Hot Spot and Onslaught should all be Prime/Megatron height as should the rest of the scramble city combiner's leaders minus the Predacons who were all equal height.

I dunno, man. Warbotron's Onslaught is gonna be pretty durn big. If MMC's Leo Dux is a head shorter than MP10, WB-Onslaught is gonna be real, real close. And you've got LOTS of people who want BIGGER combiners than Warbo. Which at some point is gonna mean some pretty crazy big bots, bigger than MP scale.

Agreed. It's close. The ultimate goal for me at least is MP combiner teams scaled in individual bot mode to the scale charts to match my TT MP's. Basically what Fans Toys is doing.

    p.s.
Warbotron Onslaught won't even be MP seeker height.

    Good thread!

Masterpiece, because that's all I collect. But I think with the exception of Devastator it would be hard to pull of combiner that the individual robots scale well with masterpieces and have a combined form that is imposing in anyway.

Take Menasor for instance, his limbs should be scaled around MP-12 height, which would be about right as they transform into similar cars, while it would be ideal for Motor master to be scaled around MP-10 height. Yet I feel the autobot cars are too small in the MP scale and this will be similar for the stunticons if they were to be made. Thus not making Mensor very imposing.

But if they went with the constructicons and had them around or slightly smaller than MP-11...then we could have robots that scale nicely and also have a fairly impressive and imposing gestalt. The contructicons would be the best way to go for combiners in MP scale.

Freakin' larger. I want a version of Monstructor where each individual component is the size of Titan Metroplex. Combined, it would stand roughly 4 feet tall, towering over all currently available TFs and many currently available humans. And the components would have Pretender shells, each of which would be about as big as an average dog.

    Do it, MMC.

People should stop taking scenes from the cartoon as size examples.
    We all know it's inconsistent.

Snide comments about mass shifting doesn't really add much to the discussion.

Please read the OP. It's a simple question.:

    How this works out?
Same as any thread where scale is discussed.

    It varies for me?
For some, like the Stunticons and Protectobots, I want them to be deluxe (and am willing to accept the little bit bigger that is currently the TFC as 'Wise is head to head with Red Alert)
For most others, I want them Ultra class or so.
For me it's in large part because I have my 'combiner teams' separate as their individual components 90% of the time and thus the size/look of the individual is much more important to me^^
    *shrugs* But that's just me^^
