Of all the TF toylines that has come out within the past year, I think I was most disappointed in the PCC line. It was the first time I have regretted buying a combiner team (namely Bombshock). Which recent TF line, if any, disappointed you?

I am most disappointed with the Masterpiece line. Too many Optimus releases when there are so many characters who deserve the masterpiece treatment.

DOTM. But I don't really mind since it allows me to save money for Prime and 3rd party toys.

    I didn't buy any PCC so I can't comment.

I'd have to say that DotM has been the most disappointing for me so far. There are some gems in there, like Megatron, but many of the other figures suffer from loose joints and lousy paint jobs, not to mention the quality control issues.

I have to agree. It's sad that a Third Party is doing an MP Soundwave instead of HasTak.

Yup, but at least we're getting one. It's not my fault if HasTak doesn't want my money.

I didn't have much expectations with PCC to begin with, and some figures are quite nice :)

The way I see it, they must think that there is more money to be made in yet another Prime/Convoy.

The 3 inch of the transformable 6 inch?

Sorry, I've just edited my post, since I noticed the OP said "the past year" :redface2:

Both 3 and 6 inches were disappointing for me. I'm still wondering if I should have picked up Jetfire though.

that one too. the ridiculously easy transformations turn off collectors but are geared more towards kids. which i guess is a good thing.

PCC, it was like Power Rangers meet Transformers. Five vehicles or beast modes with one able to have a robot mode. Then the other four just creates arms and legs, sounds like Power Rangerish to me.

I gotta say DotM. In order for me to be disappointed, the line has to fail to meet my expectations. I had low expectations for Power Core Combiners due to the non transforming limbs, so it met my expectations. DotM on the other hand, was a let down. After all the awesome toys in RotF, especially the ones that improved over the first movie line ( leader Prime ), I was looking for an equal amount of improvement. What we got was a bunch of simplified toys. Some of them worked ( Bumblebee ), but most don't. The alt modes suffer due to the Mech-Tech ports and all the big gaps due to the simplified transformations ( voyager Prime and Ironhide suffer the most ). The toys are still pretty good, but since I had such high expectations, it fell short.

I'll agree with you 100%. Even on last year's black friday clearance (think the pcc 5 packs were $7 bucks or so), I was horribly disappointed with the two sets I bought, just to try the line out. What sucks even more is that probably the shining gem of the series, grimstone, might have been avoided by some tf fans just because of how terrible the early pcc entries were. Imo grimstone is the only redeeming thing out of the 5 packs, and he was definitely not enough to carry an entire line. I was completely turned off the 2 packs, but I heard some of them were ok...

Dotm had some stinkers but more gems than pcc did. Voyager megs, shockwave, skyhammer, fireburst prime, deluxe crankcase, cyberverse hatchet...c'mon now those are excellent toys.

PCC, but only because when they finally came up with some awesome designs, the distribution of the line went south. Otherwise, I wouldn't be disappointed at all.
