I liked Outsiders, Captain Boomerang Junior has a lot to do with it though.
I can certainly understand that (except I love Ian's art). Not even sure why I like the character so much myself.
It's the blue Miniskirt.
Invincible. Great read. isnt bogged down with stupid stuff, and is a constant page turner.
That could very well be it.
Wow. Either you didn't pay any attention to the title and topic of this thread or you just don't care.
Anyway, Superman as Devilz said, Superman is one of the most boring characters ever. He's to powerful and the only decent villain ever created for him was Luthor. I remember I got into Superman at the Death period and while I enjoyed the Reign, everything after was crap. It was just a matter of how long the villain would keep Superman occupied.
However the current series were good, well 2 of 3. Chuck Austen did a good fun job on Action with Gog, and Rucka did an awesome run on Adventures with the Ruin story.
As for Supergirl, I am more interested in the character because of the introduction. Years after Superman comes to earth, his bigger cousin suddenly appears with no recollection of anything? Curious indeed.
well, its not a OYL, but i already read it...been with it since issue 1...love that book....
so they are out....
when is the second reprint of nigthwing and detective comics due...I jus KNOW they are already sold out
Um. yeah, I know. but i think everything thats happened OYL has sucked. so im just throwing somthing else out. somthing MUCH BETTER!
Nightwing was utterly terrible and I hope you didn't pick it up. It had some of the worst dialouge I have ever read in my life.
Stay far away. Very far.
I really enjoyed the Robin issue myself.
they didnt have robin at my shop, so ill have to wait for it....
April 12: Nightwing #118 Second Printing featuring a recolored version of the cover by Jock.
Can't find any mention about Detective yet. The first wave of OYL 2nd printings are due April 5th and include JSA #83, Aquaman: Sword of Atlantis #40 and Superman #650.
I haven't read a ton of them, but of the ones I have read, my quick take:
Robin - very good.
Detective - excellent.
Superman - good.
Batman - meh.
Nightwing - meh.
what was the deal with Nightwing though?
Quick update with the OYL stuff I read this week:
Robin: fantastic, it gripped me enough to make sure the books tays on my list at least through the end of this storyline.
Catwoman: pretty good. I'll stick around to see who Helena's father is (or more accurately to confirm the obvious assumption), but I doubt I'll stay around much after that. Still, this issue is worth it if for no other reason than to see Batman with a teddy bear.
Hawkgirl: disappointing. Not bad, really, but nowhere near as good as I'd hoped. Oddly, it seems like Walt Simonson forgot that there were going to be pictures to go with his story. At least that's how this book reads.
Supergirl and the Legion of Superheroes: Not bad. I'm not much of a Legion fan, though, so it's hard for me to really judge the quality of this one. Humorously, it is set "One-thousand and one years later."
JSA Classified: I loved it. Not as good as Robin, but still a great read. The cameo appearance by Scandal from Villains United was very welcome.
It was pretty terrible. The art was inconsistent, Dick was written like an idiot, and the dialouge was just bad.
is the robin suit the cartoon robin suit...all red and stuff
and i want to know who this robin is, who is the other Nightwing, which flash is that, and which wonder woman that is ???
Tim Drake, Jason Todd, we don't know yet, and if you're talking Infinite Crisis #5 it was the Golden Age/Earth-2 Wonder Woman.
Separate names with a comma.
