If it was in a G1 Catalog scan from 1984 through 1990 and hasn't been done as a 3P or Generations toy yet.... then god damn it.... get to it! You're sitting on a gold mine.

Just make sure that your reproduction has a bit more articulation than the previous G1 brick, and does the CHUG equivalent in size class to other bots that were about as big.

For example: TriggerHappy was a recent Generations Deluxe scale.... make SlugSlinger, SureShot, and CrossHairs deluxe as well. Don't suddenly make them Leader/Ultra and expect most people to be entirely happy with there purchase. (looking at you Monsterbots/TFC Combiners!) Match them up! Guzzle as a scout would be appropriate, but Guzzle as a Voyager would not.... unless you reference a new comic design instead of those G1 toys.

Those G1 catalogs are just a start. If the figure existed in Japan-only during that time and isn't done yet, the same principal applies. So get to it!

Beat me to it. I'd like an updated Countdown figure from inspired by IDW. He's not dead. He's not dead. He's not dead.

Roberts actually tweeted a little while back that he was after more Whisky and did agree that if I sent him some he'd resurrect Countdown (who isn't really dead). I know it was a joke but I have been seriously contemplating trying it anyway.

In the absence of Countdown I'd go with Thunderclash, Pharma, Deathsaurus and Gigatron.

More figures from the animated line. Them all spark almanacs be a goldmine for ideas. And maybe some third party unicron trilogy figures.

Wait... the only reason we don't have more Countdown stories is that you've just not bothered to send the man a drink? What could you possibly be waiting for??? You're why we're wasting time on the Cybertronian version of Dora and Backpack when there are apparently still a million Countdown stories to be told! Get on that, man!

I'd love to see some of the Micromasters made at MP-scale, because of what cool cars you can get out of them.
I am a big car fan and it's a big reason why the Masterpiece line resonates with me.

    Tailspin - Porsche 962
    Roadhandler - Pontiac Firebird
Swindler - a Delorean. Think about that. A Transforming Delorean.
Detour - the Corvette Indy car - I'd punch my mom in the face to get one of these
Road Hugger - Ferrari 408 concept car
Blackjack - Ford Probe GT Turbo

But as far as characters, does anyone even know who these are?? Are most fans trying to get popular characters, or trying to get neat toys that turn into rad cars? I suspect it's the former, with me firmly in the minority.

Omnibots of course, but I would also LOVE G2 laser rods and cyberjets.

Yeah, you know what I'm talking about.

    Don't forget these micromasters:
Hyperdrive, a Mitsubishi X2S concept, similar to an Eclipse
    Motorhead, '87 Callaway Corvette
The Hotrod Patrol, '66 Mustang, '57 Chevy Bel air, '34 Ford, and '41 Willys

And with a little remolding Tailspin could be used for the Gobots Crasher Porsche 956.

I think micromasters would be a great idea, as they could use more artistic license on the bot modes. Or even when a vehicle mode overlaps, they could do a recolor in the micromaster colors.
As an example: Make Nightbeat as an MP sized Porsche 959, then do a micromaster Skystalker repaint with a new head and orange and purple colors.

As for other car alt mode robots, I'm always interested in them at the current MP size:

    Getaway - Mazda RX-7, powermaster
Runamuck - Pontiac Firebird 3rd Gen
    Runabout - Lotus Esprit
    Freeway - Corvette
    Chase - Ferrari Testarossa
the Omnibots - Mazda RX-7, Toyota Celica XX, Ferrari 512
the G2 Laser Rods - Classic Ford Hot Rod coupe, roadster, panel wagon, and truck

    Gobots based:
    Crasher - Porsche 956
Puzzler - Corvette, Toyota Celica XX, Porsche 930T, Countach, Mercedes 300SL, Nissan 300ZX

    I wouldn't mind some MP Micromasters.....but I'd want them small....nearly legends size.

My list is as follows (MP of course):

    1. Star Convoy
    2. Orion Pax (A good looking one)
    3. Star Convoy
    4. Super Megatron
    5. Star Convoy
    6. Ultra Megatron
    7. Star Convoy
    8. Guiltar

This would be a dream come true. The Generations Megatron repaint was a nice homage and all but it just isn't Dreadwing without the illin' Gatling gun.

Decepticon transforming Drones from Make Tracks (They show up in in the last 3 minutes of the episode. I don't blame you if you're forgotten them, and only remember Raoul's introduction. I won't even blame you if you've forgotten that Raoul actually has two episodes. This one, and the break dancing club one.)

Would be estatic with Micromasters scaled up. But personally I'm looking for CHUG deluxes to go along with the other main line toys. Not MP/Alternators. Scout class would be fine too.

I mean who wouldn't want a scout/deluxe Stakeout? And suprisingly he'd fit in well next an MP Starsaber or CHUG Prowl.

    Devcon and Halonix Maximus

Devil Satan 6, aka Gobots Monsterous. Awesome combiner with no partsforming (other than the figures themselves)

Impossible Toys did Nightbird a ways back. Came with a bunch of ninja weapons and magnets in the feet so you could do some cool stuff with her. She stores throwing stars in her belt and swords on her back, numchucks and sais...all kinds of stuff. If you don't expect alot from it for $19.99, it's a nice piece to display. I have that one (the one on the right). You can still find them on Ebay for a reasonable price. I got my Quints from this guy and he was good. IMPOSSIBLE TOYS NIGHTBIRD NINJA ACTION FIGURE MIB TRANFORMERS | eBay

There is another one running around that transforms into a car like Arcee but I didn't care for that one. (the one on the left)

EDIT: There is actually a better one that is the one I have. I thought it was Impossible toys but it's not, It's the IGear one.....See the posts down below this one :)

I'd love an autobot Spike though. :)

I prefer the Ming Gui Nightbird. She was originally released by iGear, but saw rerelease. BBTS still even has her in stock.

MGT-06 Nightbird - Third Party Transforming Toys & Accessories Ming Gui/ AFT Toys

I reall like the jet pack that can open up. I've only two complaints. The big one, I wish they had something better than rubber bands to hold the metal sai to her wrist. As such,I don't use either.

The second complaint is that they created a useless stand. The magnets in her feet are strong enough on actual metal (I use a metal washer to keep mine with one leg on tiptoe), but they put plastic over thin metal so that the stand barely holds her flat footed.

Here's a review for the iGear release. The one I've is the more recent release & I've got her in a MP display. She's just slightly short of MP cars.

Oh damn that IS the one I have. I remember she had those rubberbands on her wrists and the yellow stand for her magnetic feet. Sorry...it's been forever since I bought her (mine is in storage because we just moved and I don't have my stuff set up yet) so I thought it was the IT version. It's funny because I thought to myself "huh...I remember mine looiking better than that but I know it's not the one that turns into a car." LOL I didn't know there were 3 versions.

That one is very much superior IMO. Thanks for correcting me but this is the one you want if you want a Nightbird. :)

I get where the reviewer is coming from in that review you posted but I felt he's a little hyper critical over the weapons. The only thing that's sorta lame is the rubber bands. I just glued mine onto her and called it a day since she uses her sword in my display.
