Like the title states, I’m curious to know what everyone’s nationality is..I always love hearing about different nationalities and cultures. I am Greek Canadian both parents immigrated in Canada in the late 60’s (mother) and early 70’s (father), they met here in Canada. cheers!
I feel like the question should be expanded to what’s your nationality, your cultural background, and your racial ethnicity. All very different questions where people are usually asking one of the three, and then assuming the other two. It’s a linguist problem sometimes. -My nationality is Canadian. -I grew up there, & have spent my adult life (20+ years) in China and Taiwan. -I’m Caucasian.
Hispanic born in America. Family heritage is from Mexico and Spain. One thing's for sure is I don't identify with that bullshit LatinX term. Well don't keep it to yourself, pass it! Haha.
Malaysian Chinese here. My ancestry is from China, however, I really identify myself more as a Malaysian than anything else.
I was going to make a Musical Youth "Pass the Dutchie" joke, but decided not too. Glad some one else did..
I’m American, lived around Cincinnati my entire life and I’m about 98.5% white and 1.5% Native American…haha. Most of my ancestors are from northeast France, southwest Germany and Luxembourg…with a few English and Irish outliers in there for good measure and one Native American lady who hooked up with the first Schuler to immigrate to America in the 1850s. I’m a midwestern American mutt.
Musical Youth did a song called "Pass the Dutchie". It's about pot. Born and raised in the US. Ancestors came from Norway and Germany, and have been traced back to to the times of the Norsemen. Also had family on the initial ocean crossing. Don't remember the details, but one of my ancestors was listed on the Columbus expedition.
I always wanted to take one of those Ancestry DNA tests but I hear it's a bullshit scam. Has anyone ever done one?
I’m American (originally from Minnesota) but my heritage is fully Scandinavian. My mom is a native Norwegian and my dad is of mostly Swedish ancestry (he had 3 Swedish grandparents and one Norwegian). Recently found out I’m descended from a Norwegian king
I'm German and European, like totally German, except my one Grandpa who was born somewhere in Eastern Europe in a town that I have no idea what to pronounce it (can't even remember it lol). My Grandma is from Dortmund, my other Grandpa was born in Greifswald but lived in Hamburg as an adult before they took him to fight in World War 2, until he fled to be with my Grandma. Most of my relatives we don't have contact with and most of them seem to have migrated to the US in World War 2. Our surname is so rare, when I Google that name I know who's related to me by looking at their foreheads. We all have big foreheads from my father's side of the family.
