I'm sure there has been a time when all of us have passed up on a TF due to one small issue. Personally, I'd have to say HA Jazz's tiny knees just look plain awful. What are some tiny things that irked you enough to not buy a certain Transformer?

I should clarify I meant problems with the toy and not it's price.

 

Not sure if they count as minor (they seem pretty major to me) but the only thing that puts me off of DOTM Voyager Megs and Deluxe Sideswipe is lack of paint. Other than that, they look awesome.

 

HA Bumblebee due to the legs being incorrect. I know there is a way to fix yourself, but I don't believe we should have to.

Human Alliance in general. I'm not a fan of the movie figs, but I liked the idea of this line. But without a guarantee that we'd also get HA versions of Ironhide, Ratchet & Prime, I didn't want to invest in a line that could risk being (what I would consider) incomplete. Intuition proved right on that one.

MP Rodimus Hasbro Edition. Great looking mold and thankfully cheaper than Takara's version, but the paint job royally sucks. Too much for me to overlook.

ROTF Leader Prime Hasbro Edition. Same as above - just way, way, way too shitty & bland of a paint scheme for me to justify purchasing.

iGear Coneheads. The unpainted nosecones. Seriously, that's it. If they were black the way they should be, I would have pulled the trigger on buying them. But as they are, they just look unfinished. And given the price, no, I'm not painting them myself.

FP Insecticons. Absolutely fantastic designs & molds, but the ninja mask heads are too reimagined for my liking.

 

MP-10 costing $250+. No way is this a $250+ toy.

 

I wouldn't buy RotF Sideswipe because of his waist connector. I had Swerve and didn't want to "downgrade." Spent considerable time trying to find out if Strike Mission Sideswipe was fixed (turned out it was). But then Sidearm came along.

 

Saving money for the November games. Curse you Skyrim!

 

Not really a minor flaw, but all the QC issues with MP Rodimus. Well, I bought it on per-order way before the flaws were known and then sold it without opening it.

 

I just hope that doesn't happen when DOTM Soundwave and Wheeljack are out. Because I always keep $100 for emergency when I see them.

But I plan to get those on ebay, because I can't wait to get it to come to Canada.

I get what you're saying, as I've only seen wave 2 deluxes one time, and that Barricade never came back after it sold at TRU. For all I know, it could've been returned or something, and I really don't expect to start seeing wave 3 or 4 until Christmas at the earliest, especially in my shit town, and especially since the Vancouver area doesn't look to be any closer than I am.

However at the same time, it's not like wave 3 & 4 have stayed true to their advertised release dates in the US either, at least not in terms of a mass release, so it's not like we're the only ones getting shafted. I can't imagine any of this stuff being cheap though on ebay though, even by our prices, so I don't think I'll be paying 30+ bucks for a deluxe just to get it early or even on time.

1. Ugly repaints (will get them eventually, just not on the priority list)
2. Financial constraints
3. Non-transformable figures (will get them on clearance or when there are surplus funds)

 

Usually it's horrible paint quality. I once passed on an Animated Grimlock because his paint QC was just plain horrible.

 

I'm a stickler when it comes to paint apps,so I'll pass on something if it doesn't look perfect to me.

My ToysRUs only got one box of deluxe wave 3 and it sold, then after that there were only wave 2 deluxes.
