The Combaticons were the Decepticons' original counter to the Wreckers.

All Maximal exploration teams were required to undergo basic military training, familiarizing them with standard protocol, weapons, etc. That's why Primal's team, despite being civilians, was able to fight off the Predacons for so long (not to mention why they were so well armed).

Being off world, the Tripredacus Council was not affected by the anti-transformation virus. When word got to them of Megatron's takeover, they mounted a drastic response, sending down their best agents to eliminate the rebel once and for all. But Megatron, anticipating their actions, transwarped a contingent of virus bearing Vehicons to their station in secret, infecting the occupants and assassinating the now unguarded Council. As for their special operatives, Megatron simply shot down their ships and picked off the survivors.

The original cartoon Shockwave had a refined English accent. On that basis, I like to think at the start of his 4M year reign that some of his henchmen had Cockney accents.

Some of my own head canons:

    Primax/Nexus:
Few Transtech universes actually started out as G1/Beast Era, having become a further-evolved Cybertron after a post-Beast Machines/Universe event.

    Viron:
The Autobots are a subgroup from the Maximals, same the Decepticons were from the Predacons.
Onyx Prime and Alpha Trion lead the council back on Cybertron.
Fire Convoy suffers from Primus apotheosis.

    Aurex:
GI Joe Sigma Six is in the same continuity.
Micronus Prime does/did exist as the first Mini-Con, and founded Gigantion, with Modus Prime as a possible successor/descendant.
Nexus Prime created the four Maximus in his image to guard the Super Energon Temple.
Animatron was founded by Onyx Prime.
Planet Q was founded by Quintus Prime.

    Tyran:
The Creators built the Dynasty of Primes and other Cybertronians/Transformers with the Seeds and used the Allspark to give life to them.
Quintessa was indeed one of the Creators, or at least of the same species, who passed her consciousness into a biomechanical form in order to escape mortality.
The Dinobots were early attempts to create Guardian Knights.
The Guardian Knights themselves were servants of the remaining Dynasty.
Megatronus Prime, Sentinel Prime, and Lockdown were all puppets under Quintessa's influence.
Bonecrusher was/is a Constructicon, or at least a potential component if available.
Being a rare survivor of the Chicago battle, Barricade was heavily damaged and had to take on a completely new and repaired form in order to keep alive and escape from Cemetary Wind.
Blackout and Grindor are individual members of a Decepticon drone unit (a Heavy Brigade?), brothers in a sense.
Berserker and Dreadbot were indeed members of the Dreads.
Onslaught and Brawl are both Combaticons.

    Malgus:
The Magnus Hammer is actually the Forge of Solus Prime, stolen from her.
The events of GI Joe resolute occurred sometime in the past, the early 21st century to be precise.
Gorillaz, Robotboy, and even the Powerpuff Girls also existed at the time as well.
Sari may have spawned off some of Megatron's CNA.
Swindle himself was a member of the Combaticons before going AWOL and rogue.
Speaking of, he's also good friends with Lockdown.
The Quintesson Pan Galactic Co-Prosperity Sphere was quickly established after Quintus Prime and overthrown and exiled.
Shockwave is a Shifter, much like Makeshift and Amalgamous Prime himself.

    Uniend:
Micronus Prime created Microspace, where the Micronauts originate.
GI Joe Renegades, Friendship is Magic (and possibly even Kaijudo and Blazing Teens) exist in the same universe.
The Inhumanoids exist too, on a planet known as Primordia.
The events of Go! occurred simultaneously with Beast Hunters, the third series of Prime.
Maximals coexisted with the Predacons, albeit at civil unrest and under heavy primal tensions.
The RiD2015 Grimlock is actually a clone of the original Grimlock from FoC, who had developed his own individual personality, similar with Kickback.
Breakdown and Knockout were Stunticon members.
Dinolizard and Five-Headed Ape were created by this world's equivalent of The Asylum.
The EG dimension has its own Cybertron, with humanoid counterparts of the Autobots, Decepticons and even Predacons and Minicons from Prime, Rescue Bots and RiD2015.
Just like M.A.S.K., V.E.N.O.M. also exist, as a subdivision of Cobra.

Elita-1 was the leader of the Autobots for some time. She — similar to Optimus — came from a background of grit as she had previously lived in Decepticon territory. However, instead of being in the high command she was simply a citizen of a city-state that was taken over by the Decepticons. The change between life before the Decepticons and after was drastic. Her tough physique saw her eyed for the draft but she escaped to the hills (humiliating Starscream in the process) and met up with Alpha Trion and Bravo, where she was redirected to the Autobots.

She quickly became noteworthy for her insider knowledge of the Decepticons and strength. However, her time as leader came to an end when she fought Shockwave and encountered heavy resistance. While she was physically stronger, Shockwave had tricks up his sleeve and still had reasonable brute strength. She faked she and her team's deaths in the battle to fight another day. Certain that the Autobots needed a leader who can challenge Megatron (and unaware that Shockwave was nearly as dangerous as Megatron), she ceded the leadership to a reluctant Ultra Magnus.

Elita continued operations on the hush hush, at one point being upgraded with Combiner capabilities by Greenlight and Alpha Trion. The Elite Guard were founded under her lead, taking their name from her.

Greenlight programmed two Combiner personalities into Elita: Infinite and Orthia. Both involved Elita's two closest friends, Moonracer and Novastar. However, the other two were left ambiguous. Alpha Bravo is part of Infinite (still classified as a neutral) whilst two random bots from the Autobot ranks found to be highly compatible with Elita were selected for Orthia, with the intent that the five would form a special ops team that would form a very powerful Combiner. Infinite is more a quick, element of surprise Combiner. The finale member of Elita Infinite is classified.

Shockwave based his Headmasters on Prime Master technology he had recovered from the Primes' notes. He forced Arcee to translate the information, whom later escaped with the knowledge of Shockwave's experiments.

Wheeljack would go on to integrate Headmaster accessibility into Combiners to not only enhance the Combiner's strength, but also to give those trapped with Transtectors extra capabilities.

As a side effect, once the Prime Masters reemerged, they were also Transtector and Combiner compatible albeit with mixed results.

Blue, green, and yellow are the natural/normal TF eye colors. The reason Decepticons have red eyes is that it is a by-product of a procedure designed by Shockwave to enhance the Decepticon's prowess and fire power. It also tends to make them more aggressive and violent.

IDW/MTMTE's take on Cybertron's history and past is the true take for me. Although for the Guiding Hand, I still think Primus looked like Primus and then just took to the form of Rung, but still.

That and WFC/FOC is it's own G1 incarnation, not something to be linked to Prime or RID. Aligned Continuity doesn't exist.

Revenge of the Fallen through to The Last Shite Knight actually take place within the imagination of a child playing with their Transformers, thus explaining why the stories are so disjointed, characters appear out of nowhere or disappear (lost/broken or new toys), plot points abandoned and why the humour is so bottom of the barrel. The weird stuff like the Romeo and Juliet Law scene is the kid overhearing his dysfunctional family in the background. The reason The Last Knight ends with the Unicron teaser which ended up having no resolution is because he got into superheroes and doesn't care about Transformers anymore.

This is more for the Omni Dub for Masterforce but Optimus Prime (G1) was such a hero to the world, people were named after him in respect so Optimus Prime (Masterforce) was named after him kind of like all the Link's in Legend of Zelda being named after a hero and becoming a hero in their own right (before the retcon of them all being reincarnations of the same dude)

I always liked the idea of Ratchet being a really good fighter, especially supplementing his abilities with his knowledge of where it hurts the most. The reason he's not in the field often is because Optimus can't afford to lose him.

Cybertron was meant to be the prototype for the Quintessons' planetary factories, the first of many. But after their exile from the planet, the Quintessons were left desolate, and thus focused all their resources on survival. With their knowledge, they managed to establish Quintessa as their new homeworld, but never again could they reestablish the power they once had.

You know, I have the same headcanon but with the minor difference that he uses his knowledge of Cybertronian anatomy to neutralize his enemies easily, quickly, and effectively rather than to maximize their pain and suffering. Hippocratic Oath and all.

Wheelie sees movie autobots as his new family since he was rescued from Quintessa. Arcee behaves in a motherly way to him since he is basically an orphaned child. She reminds Wheelie of his own mother.

The Bumblebee movie now being a reboot has sort of tidied up that one earlier head canon that I had come up with.

So, now there are about three movie universes:

Tyran 707.4 Delta: The movie trilogy and Cemetery Wind.

Tyran 014.27 Delta: This universe had the events of the trilogy happen in broad strokes, with the Knights and WWII stuff
interspersed. Thus, continuity errors and complications with the trilogy are simply because the first three movies didn't happen as we are familiar with them.

Tyran 011.24 Zeta-Delta: This universe has the first two movies and DOTM novelization as canon, as well as Quintessa.

They all dealt with their respective Unicrons differently:

Trilogy Universe was wiped out in totality, with no survivors.

    TLKverse:

Optimus and Megatron allied themselves reluctantly with Quintessa to find a way to defeat Unicron. Unicron tempted Megatron with more power and turned him back into an incarnation of Galvatron, which mucked things up and caused the universe to be wiped out.

However, the survivors (Simmons, Hound, Quintessa, Hot Rod) still managed to find a way to destroy Unicron upon landing in an alternate BB Movie universe (possibly the IDW BB movie prequel universe?), where Quintessa was merged with the resident Optimus whom she was trying to control. The side effects are that all involved can now travel universes and shapeshift at will (becoming "Wanderers".)

They dumped off the resulting Unicron stew Matrix in the Trilogyverse, where upon his landing on Earth the presence slowly started driving Optimus mad. (They assumed that due to the lack of a Bumblebee during WWII, he and Optimus wouldn't show up... this is what happens when Simmons is the smartest of you, the Idiot Ball is in full force.)

    Novelverse:
Megatron and Optimus reluctantly allied themselves with Quintessa to defeat Unicron using a similar method. However, instead of getting tempted by Unicron or Quintessa he decided he was sick of power hungry jackasses and killed them both.

However, because Megatron had already killed the person who knew how to use it properly, Megatron accidentally sent the Matrix containing Unicron's distilled essence flying through time-space, ready to corrupt any hapless Matrix worthy individual into a battle mad despot. Megatron also inadvertently turned Cade, Drift, Igor and himself into Wanderers.

Maybe Megatron should have took up Unicron's offer to upgrade him and then killed Unicron, because now all Megatron looks like when warning other universes about Unicron or the Chaos Matrix/Dark Spark is some disheveled lunatic.
    ____
You might wonder why I didn't have it where Hound, Simmons and Quintessa simply landed in Tyran 707.4 Delta (Trilogyverse) and simply thoughtlessly deposited their Dark Spark there....

This is mostly for dark comedy. After all, I decided that the Universe's Most Psychotic and his runner-ups got to gain the ability to travel between universes and change their appearance at will.

As for the Trilogyverse's Unicron... he's still raising hell somewhere.
    ____
    Tidbits:

    - Yes, Novelverse Drift is a Wanderer too. He considers it a great spiritual honor and generally goes off on his own.

    - Drift's novelization back story isn't too different from his TLK implied background. Drift arrived on Earth centuries prior, thus adopting his look and had a crisis of faith upon answering the beck and call to Chicago. He decided to identify with the Autobots due to his past experiences with humans, even after Megatron turned over a new leaf. He naturally, was off page during the battle of Chicago and ending.

    - In the novel continuity, Quintessa was behind both the Fallen and Sentinel Prime. She and the seven other Primes (the Fallen included) were the first Transformers brought online by the Allspark and all had the ability to make new Primes, most having literal Allspark powers. The Fallen's telepathy ability is the extension of this.

She convinced the Fallen that it was both their duties as Primes to destroy Unicron, the Earth being a necessary sacrifice. Destroying the Sun was a way to destroy Unicron and gain enough Energon to sustain the Cybertronians for millions of years.

    - However, the Fallen and by extension Megatron's disdain for humans comes not from Quintessa but by taking her word to the extent where he considered life on Earth to be the spawn of Unicron.

    - The merged Optimus/Quintessa entity, I will iterate, is the POTP Nemesis Prime toy.

    - And, yes, Rodimus Unicronus's Matrix is the same one that Novelverse Megatron accidentally flung through time-space.

Animalistic Transformers such as Ravage, Scorponok, and Laserbeak are the result of the Quintessons exploring Earth and modelling their creations after its fauna.

Similarly, bipedal Transformers were modeled after humans, which is why some resembled Knights (Steelbane, Dragonstorm etc.) or samurais like Drift.

...Except Cybertronians are millions of years older than the first Humans. Maybe another Human-like species.
