-The Construcicons and the Predacons have an intense rivalry with each other and it isn't uncommon for the likes of Soundwave to have to break up fights between them.

Oh, and back by popular demand... more Shattered Glass Head Canon!

-The Terrorcons were once passive N.A.I.L.s who had cute forms (Hun-gurr was a bunny, sinnertwin a puppy, Cutthroat a baby bird, Blot a frog, and Rippersnapper a Clown Fish) but SG Optimus experimented on them and gave them their monster forms. They are still very kind though and use their new power to acts as the heroic Decepticon medics, traveling from battlefield to battlefield to protect fallen bots.

-SG Lugnut is SG Megatron's Prowl. Very smart and not loyal to Megatron but rather the cause itself.

-SG Paddles is the most vile, monsterous Autobot ever created. He is so horrific that even Grimlock decided that he must be locked away. But it doesn't matter... Paddles will wait. Paddles will watch. Paddles will destroy all.

-Lockdown is a lawyer who goes from planet to war-torn planet and offers to assist victims of the war. Pro bono, of course.

-No one laughs at SG Erectors name. Ever.

All larger subgroups of the G1 toyline are "generations" of soldiers with their own Primes and Decepticon counterparts. Thus, following Optimus and Megatron, we have:

    - Plexus Prime (formerly "Scamper") who has Rodimus´s Prime´s physique and size and Wipeout (formerly "Full-tilt"). These command all Scramble City-styled combiner teams and their respective bases. Plexus and Wipeout can connect to their bases which transform into giant mech suits, Metroplex and Trypticon

    - Maximus Prime (formerly "Fortress") and Zarak control the 1987 Autobots and Decepticons. Both leaders are normal-sized but can turn into Titan Maximus and Skorponok by bonding with their bases, much like Plexus/Metroplex and Wipeout/Trypticon.

    - Apex Prime (formerly "Godbomber", before that "Roller") is leader of the 1988 Autobots and Overlord leader of the 1988 Decepticons (save for Pretenders). Overlord is larger than Apex, but the latter can combine with a super version of his mentor and former commander, Optimus Prime, to even the odds in bot-to-bot battle.

    - Victorius Prime (formerly "Star Saber") and Deathsaurus lead the Autobots and the Decepticons, respectively, of the 1989 roster (save for Pretenders). Victorius can combine with his friend Leo in a similar manner with Apex/Prime to fight the hulking Deathsaurus more efficiently.

    - Velocitus Prime (formerly "Metalhawk") is the fastest Autobot leader and leader of the Autobot pretenders, Thunderwing leads the Decepticon Pretenders.

    - Not sure who lead the Micromaster Autobots... Dai Atlas? Star Convoy? Big Bang? And Decepticon Micromasters? Super/Ultra Megatron? BlackZarak? The Titans Return version of Sky Shadow?

    - Also, at some point Perceptor steps in as interrim Autobot leader becoming Magnificus Prime, he has a hatch on his chest for the Matrix and all... and a tank mode! His rival could be... if noone else, Starscream?

There are more examples but these are my favorites...

    G1 era:
-Primacron's world was an early victim to Unicron. Alone and driven insane in his solitude over a long period of time, he convinced himself of the narrative that he "created" Unicron.
-The combaticons are the Decepticon's best team, prepared to adapt to any form of combat. They are also one of the few non crazy combiners due to how efficient their team is. And going off of the individual bot tech specs, Bruticus is actually rather intelligent
-Razorclaw and Snaptrap hate each other, and have been at each others throats metaphorically and literally too many times to count.
-The dinosaurs were wiped out by transformers warring over Earth prior to crashing

    Beast era:
-The original Predacons took control of the Decepticons in a survival of the fittest type method, before being uprooted by the Tri-Predacus Council, certainly not by force but rather pathetic scheming.
-The reason Starscream was present in Beast Wars was because his spark was aboard the Axalon and dumped with the rest of the cargo. Being blasted into space in the end, G1 Starscream meets a very similar fate as Kars in Jojo, helplessly drifting in space, immortal, and eventually stopped thinking.

    Maybe more later.

For @greboguru 's new thread, but I don't think it belongs there as it is my personal continuity not the answer for any show or comic.

Bumblebee was for lack of a better word 'born' on earth and has no memories of Cybertron, which is partly why he is named for an earth creature.

Jazz went by Meister on Cybertron for his expertise in espionage and assassination. He chooses a new name on earth as he is trying to distance himself from his past.

The leader of the stunticon combiner team is named Motorbreath. He successfully cows his teammates into calling him THE MOTOR MASTER but no one else really humors him.

Tron means world in iaconian. Cybertron is a neonym after they colonize Velocitron, Animatron, Gigantotron, Combatron, and Aquatron.

Megatron means world protector and Galvatron means world destroyer.

Alpha Trion is not a name but a rank. It really just means first of three as he is part of a triumvirate with Beta Trion (G1 Beta inspired) and Gamma Trion.

Thank you. Here are some more snippets from the 'RE-Verse (initials just worked out so I had to use it even if nothing is particularly reversed.)

-Us is a suffix denoting respect akin to Lord. Prior to the modern age, noble families ruled most of Iacon. There was a nominal king of Iacon who lorded the family founders for some great deed they did and gave them land to rule in a feudal system, but the nobles were the authority who most figured into the commoners' lives. Descendants of these nobles include Ultra Magnus, Dominus Ambus (who has been lorded himself and may start a Dominus line if he so wishes), and Fortress Maximus.

The religion Primalism was started by a harvester whose original name had been forgotten but renamed herself Prima after returning to preach what she insists Vector Sigma told her about the origin and fate of the universe. Prime simply means one in Iaconian and Primus thus means One Lord. Thanks to this religion, Prime is also used as a title akin to saint or knight and beyond Prima's thirteen first converts is typically a posthumous honor.

Yes, Optimus Prime does have an equally pretentious name as Megatron, but we already knew that comparing them to their soldiers' names. I'm trying to figure the story behind how a trucker named Optics ended up as Optimus Prime, but it eludes me.

yeah, i kinda go with something similar... but every show's commanders are leaders of their respective armies on different planets or parts of earth and cybertron. altered version of beast wars is happening on eukaris, altered version of victory on... somewhere, altered version of armada, etc... and each one is in charge of one of the combiner teams. if they didn't have a traditional combiner in their series, they get assigned one of the scramble city teams. armada megatron (obviously not named megatron) could be in charge of bruticus since his team's already made up of mostly military vehicles, cybertron megatron has an f-1 based alt mode and was pretty active on velocitron in his cartoon so he'd get the stunticons, rid megatron gets ruination since that's an existing scramble-type combiner...

That the G1 and bears wars continuity CAN be part of the same timeline, with G1 bots sparks being spread throughout out their laser core, personality component, and logic circuits, but the Beast Warriors advanced tech let them concentrate their spark in one part of their body.
(In fact most differences are solved by the radical technological and social changed between the two series).

'Bots like Jazz and Bumblebee had their Japanese names on Cybertron and changed them upon arriving on Earth. Bumblebee's name on Cybertron was "Bumble", and he extended it to Bumblebee after arriving on Earth partly because of his color scheme and partly because it felt less insulting. Jazz was known as Meister, and changed it to Jazz simply because he liked Earth's music. Other Autobots found this an odd choice, but respected it because of his reputation as a cool, competent second in command.

G1 Air Raid used to be a Seeker. He retained his F-15 alt mode, but altered his transformation scheme to distance himself from them.

The combiner process spurs empathy, not because it literally merges minds, but because it's a group of people stuggling together.

Motormaster was the selfish rude jerk of a leader his bio describes him to be, until he formed menasor. In melding with the minds of his men, he felt their powerlessness and mental anguish. From Then on, he tries to be a much friendlier commander.

Scrapper, at one point, was vain like hook and marveled at his own genius, until he formed devastator. Than he saw greater truths of the world, and he realised the strength of his men. From then on, he was the humble guy we all know, actively reaching out to make scavenger feel included and long haul feel like a team member rather than a utility.

Onslaught used to have a close, yet ultimately professional relationship with men, until they formed bruticus. That put all of their experiences in perspective to him. Then, he and his men viewed each Other as their only true friends in the world. Think mgsV venom snake and his men.

    My head canon for Transformium:

It's actually an established element, most likely technetium (Tc, #43) or promethium (Pm, #61) both of which lack stable isotopes. Their atypical radioactivity limits real-world technical applications considerably.

Infusing Transformium with Energon excites the atom, but instead of triggering radioactive decay, it allows the nucleus to change its shape so that weak nuclear force is never too strong on any one point for too long.

Of course, the corollary to this would be that Energon deprivation leads to radioactive decay of the Transformium somewhere down the line. Besides explaining how Cybertronians can be tracked via radiation and heat signatures, maybe the human characters in 2, 3, and 4 should be screened regularly?

Fuzors were triple changers when they had vehicle modes. But when the stasis pods scanned for alt modes, instead of assigning a distinct animal for each beast mode, a glitch gave them one beast mode with two sources.

Well, that would explain how Sector Seven could use Geiger counters to determine Sam's contact with the Autobots...

It would also mean he's probably sterile at this point, but that's probably for the best. :p
