Let me just say that since Skids and Mudflap are such polarizing characters we should get an official TFW opinion on the little devils.

It seems to me that most people either love them or hate them. Count me in the love 'em department. I thought they were great and they were great comic relief.

I don't understand all of the racist talk. One is orange and the other is green....how in the hell could they represent any race on Earth whatsovever? The only race they represent is from another planet.

The percieved "ghetto" lifestyle that they portray in the movie is represented by almost every race in America and other countries as well. You don't have to be African-American to enjoy this percieved "ghetto-chic" lifestyle.

Whites, African-Americans, Hispanics, People from the far east, Middle Easterners, etc.......all have representatives who enjoy this lifestyle. Which one of these races are these characters representing when one is orange and the other is green?

I enjoyed Skids and Mudflap. I think they're getting a much undeserved bad rap. I thought they were great.....what did you think about them? Let's see what TFW officially thinks about them.

I didn't really care for them, but if I had to choose, if I loved them, or hated them, I would go more to the positive side, and say that I love them.

I just thought they were annoying. Transformers shouldn't be using words like 'pussy' imo.

I didn't mind them. Went in expecting to be driven nuts by them, but found them amusing.

 

Hated them. They were idiots, comic relief overkill and took screentime away from other Autobots that actually deserved it.

 

Admittedly yes... they could have done with a fair bit less screen time, but they were Bay's creations.

They were boring and lent nothing to any scene they were in.

by the way, did we even get to see them transform? I can't remember.

 

When I first saw their designs I thought I would hate them, but they weren't bad at all, I loved them. Genuinely funny and clever. Although I think their screentime could have been cut a little shorter and Jolt or Sideswipe or even the old autobots should have gotten said screentime.

 

The Twins? Clever? Maybe in a parallel dimension.

I saw the designs and thought I was going to hate them, but then I found out Tom Kenny (who is one of my all time favorite voice actors) was voicing one of them (namely Skids) I thought, "eh." Then I saw them in one of the previews, and I actually kind of liked them. Then I bought both of their toys. When I finally saw them on the big screen, they managed to do something I never would have expected. They made me laugh. As of now, I have no problem saying that I love the Twins, but please, let some of the other Autobots have some screentime in the next movie. (The lack of screentime/lines for Ironhide was surprising.) Oh, and Tom Kenny talking all gangsta' was pure win.

 

before seeing the movie i quite liked the designs and even the idea of young autobots who fight with one another but had mixed feelings when watching the movie. although I thought they were funny at times they had way too much screentime, even more than important characters like bumblebee or optimus.

Also I can understand why people think they are raicist but to be honest I think they are looking into it a little too much!

 

They sicked big time. The rest of the film was awesome.

 

I didn't mind them, but they were somewhat annoying, chewed up plenty of screentime(could have been used for other characters), and pretty much useless in combat. They were funny though.

They don't contribute in every scenes they are in and they are a waste of screen time.
