RotF Leader Starscream and repaints - I can't help but feel if they'd scrapped the (always exceedingly pointless) electronics the design would have allowed for another level of compression to achieve a skinnier jet mode.

TR Triggerhappy, TLK Megatron, Universe 2.0 Cyclonus, Classics Mirage - Hollow forearms are garbage.

Generations Drift - Garbage leg articulation

Generations WFC Prime - Would approach perfection if a) the backpack folded up more, b) the leg articulation wasn't impeded by the armour skirt, and tbh c) if it was just a voyager class release.

Word. It needed to be slightly darker or more orange.

    UW Ghost Starscream for me.....

I don’t know? I love him as is. I wish his HFG was transparent red, have to give him the one from SG Starscream.

T30 Springer doesn’t tab together securely in car mode.

Classics Optimus Prime is 1-1.5 inches shorter than he should be.

Coincidentally, the worst part about my favorite figure is also the very reason I love it.

AM-08's clear plastic is just about the best we've seen on a Transformers toy, period. It's raw, purpley goodness is so nice to look at the moment any form of light passes through it. BUT, it's so damn brittle that I hate transforming him into that plum crazy-esque 60's Challenger/Cuda hybrid. It scares me moving the headlights to his chest, just due to the plastic and how thin it is.

That and he has stickers, but they were all black so a few coats of acrylic paint cleared that issue right up.

The damn car monoboob on RTS Jazz. This figure would have been perfect had that locked into place, but no it needs to constantly flip up and partially transform whenever I pick up Jazz

Mines pretty good. Tabs together better than many of the more recent figures I've had.

After owning Studio Series Starscream for a few weeks, I can say that the figure is one of my favorite figures in my small collection.

However, I can't say that I'm a big fan of the fact that the transformation of this figure is almost exactly the same as the DOTM Deluxe; Which just makes the figure a bit less refreshing that I would love. (I still love that figure, but I can see why some says that SS Starscream isn't all that refreshing of a figure) I also didn't like the placement of the screw at the heads exactly at the left side of the head.

G1 God Ginrai - wings are too gimpy

MP-10 Optimus Prime - could use a tad more die-cast metal, IMO

Brave Maximus - needs the rest of Fort Max's accessories (otherwise, this is my favorite rendition of the mold)

shhhhhhhhhh, nobody tell them about Armada Megatron :D

When I was like 13, my dad managed to land me a loose Brave Max at a flea market a little south of my hometown that had a booth with import toys, and I went insane with excitement. Of course, I figured he was missing some parts until much later on when I found out that Brave Max just didn't come with a lot.

Anyway, mine is Fire Convoy. My all-time favorite TF toy from any series or any generation, of any character. (RiD Optimus counts too since they're basically the same.)

That said, he's sort of a horrible combination of a lot of the iffier parts of Transformers design, barring GPS. Chromed chest that's bound to flake over time, particularly if you transform him/turn him into Super Fire Convoy? Check. Rubber wheels that will, can, and have cracked over time? Check. Abundance of easily-yellowed white plastic, at least on my purchased-on-day-one RiD version? Check. Electronics that will probably fail eventually? Check. I love you Fire Convoy, but you requite a lot more delicate care than I or most kids of the era showed you. I half bought the God Fire Convoy reissue for the packaging and half to have a Fire Convoy that I may never have to open or expose to the elements.

HM Soundwave-His limbs are a bit loose.

    1 Step Thunderhoof-No decent articulation.

    TW Starscream-Very basic articulation.

RB Optimus, High Tide and Boulder limited articulation.

Generations Windblade-She has difficulty standing because of her weird high heel feet.

I have no complaints about CW Sunstreaker.

I wish a third party would come out with alternate hands for that mold. Something, anything that fits the guns better.
I'm not particular re: cartoon accuracy. Headmasters was pretty much a Transformers tokusatsu show anyway, and all they had him do in the US G1 toon was transform into all 6 modes in one go.
Hey, I like that gimmick. It's a fun way of realizing the way Prime pulls the gun outta nowhere.

...y'all, life's too short to bitch about plastic we didn't design.

True but I could never justify the price as I only want the cab.

Considering how many times the original has been reissued, it's a shame they didn't reissue this version.

Well, no toy is perfect, so....
    MP36: the messy back.
MP22: I wish he has more posability.
    TR Fortress Maximus: ankles!

That's a good point - if that Wal-Mart Hot Rod leads to other reissues, I don't think it's entirely impossible that the reissue Prime we get could have the Device Label head on it instead.
