Hi Everyone, What is your hobby, my hobby is building ship model kits. We can discuss here in general discussion lets see how many of us have same hobby.
Well, naturally I like collecting these cool plastic robots, but I also collect Marvel Legends, Figma, and I just started collecting model ships as well OP.
My hobbies buying action figures. Star Wars, still buying 25th Anniversary G.I. Joe once in awhile. Pretty much Star Wars action figures all the time. reading outdoor stuff mostly fishing and camping as long as the weather is decent Revell model kits. 20 years ago I was into it big time. Then I got burned out on it. Since last year ive been trying to get back into watching bonus features behind the scenes stuff for movies board games gardening. not fun work but it keeps me busy and its interesting to see what stuff grows the right way etc
My Hobbies: Running Biking videogames reading Transformers Starwars black series Customizing figures Model kits JOJO drawing writing
Aside from TF? Reading, biking, hiking, backpacking, fishing, video games, listening to music, carpentry, researching, science fiction (especially the hard stuff), and a little bit of writing. That's off the top of my head. I have many and varied interests.
To make a second, more in-depth post. I have a lot of hobbies. While I do enjoy collecting Transformers, Marvel Legends, Figma and the occasional side purchase, I consider them to be one singular hobby. Collecting. Though thats not to say thats it for me, as I also enjoy painting/customizing, as well as anything that requires some level of creativity, such as my newfound love for model ships, which I both build and paint(and can be as expressive as I like in that aspect.) I also, in the same vein, greatly enjoy art and music. I make a habit of browsing art(usually unofficial and of the anime variety) in my spare time, as well as listening to and discovering new music. Both of these two things are almost natural, as I spend almost all of my free time just browsing through art I’ve saved while listening music. So, I think in a sense, I only have two hobbies. Collecting, and being creative. I also do game a lot, but because I play more story-oriented games with a focus on writing, music, and art, I throw it in with the latter.
Bike riding Bandai model kits (mostly Gundam and anime stuff) fictional languages/conlangs (constructed languages)
Other than the action figure stuff, I dig just about anything radio-controlled...except boats...never been into those. I also tinker with electronics and firearms on occasion but not often enough to consider either one a hobby. I also have 5 dogs and a finch. One day I hope to obtain a parrot and a monkey of the non-face-ripping variety.
Oh boy... my hobbies are as follows. Transformers (Duh! ) Building Gundam model kits Singing (New one I got into) Writing Coloring Playing guitar Searching out obscure war facts, whether on planes, ships, tanks, etc. Reading fanfiction I would say hobby number 7 is my most active one, not that it is intentional of course. I just do it randomly when at work to pass time during tests.
It is. Just as a warning for those of you who wish to get into it, you may find yourself buying a lot of gear. Well I'm thinking about it, I should order a new sleeping pad...
I hear yah on that lot of gear stuff. I have a lot of camping gear but those wouldn't work well backpacking. In one week I pretty much bought everything for my backpacking trip. Luckily the gear I did forget my buddies had (ie. shovel, water purifier, etc). And thank goodness it was when Sports Authority went out of business so I was able to get it at discount. Which reminds me I need to pick up those missing items.
I few years ago sold most of my TFs (except my really old ones) and other 80's toys that I didn't care about. I started collecting Batman 1989 memorabilia almost exclusively, I also am creating Anton Furst's vision of Gotham city in Lego. (see silhouette in my signature) I've been working on the buildings surrounding the cathedral lately.
I still need to get myself a folding shovel now that you mention it. There's always another piece of gear. Sales and deals are the best way to go, if you can find them.
Other than Transformers, let's see: I enjoy collecting and playing Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game. Back when Kids WB existed, I remember seeing ads for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Animated series. At first I didn't care it until out of boredom, I watched 2 episodes and got me Interested and became a fan ever since. I got thousands of cards and made many playing decks. I usually don't use the more popular, well known monster cards like Blue-eyes White Dragon and Dark Magician. My favorite type of monsters are Dinosaur types with my favorite being Ultimate Tyranno. I collect TMNT figures. Growing up in the late 80s, early 90s was full of TMNT. I have random figures like the ones that the shell opens and inside are extra weapons for the turtles. I remember there were figures that had the turtles dressed in costumes like Mikey or Raph were baseball players and Leo was a Samurai. My favorites are the movie design figures cause they were cool looking. If anyone remembers in 1998 there was Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation. I get why it was unpopular, I blame Venus but some actors were overacting *coughshreddercoughvampireladycough* but 2 TF alumni were the saving grace. All the old TMNT figures I unfortunately lost their weapons but my 2012 figures are still intact with all accessories. I collect Power Rangers zords/mechas. I've been a fan since the beginning of MMPR season 1 but I never got any toys until Season 3 with the Ninja Megazord, Shogun Megazord, Falconzord and Ninjor. Granted Ninjor is not a word but whatever. Kept buying through Zeo, Turbo and In Space but when PRIS ended, I stopped collecting because of how PRIS ended but kept watching the series. After watching Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, around the time Power Rangers Samurai was airing (I think) I wanted to get the mechas/zords again but didn't start until PR Super Megaforce. Currently hunting previous entries but of the ones I already have, my favorites are Zeo, In Space and DinoCharge. Lastly, I collect and play video games. I've been playing video games since I was 3 years old. First game I ever played is Galaga. Used a lot of quarters at the gas station down the street. Owner was an old friend of the family and made sure nothing bad happened to me as I played. In my eyes, I did not become a full time Video Game collector until Spring 2005. I have every system (console and handheld) from Nintendo, Sony, Sega and Microsoft with a Turbo Grafx-16 on the side. I have 1700+ games. The one game I have that the last time I checked is the rarest in my Collection is a Gray Cartridge version of Turok Rage Wars for Nintendo 64. The original black cartridge has a glitch where after unlocking several characters, one play route has a mission of Frag the Monkey and no matter what you do after killing the target 3 times you will always get a message saying you failed the mission. I found out in an issue of Gamepro Magazine that Acclaim was given word of the glitch and told owners if they like, with their info, they will send a copy without the glitch but only for a limited time. I waited until 2011 to buy one on eBay and once it arrived, I tested it and it was the real McCoy. I did read that they only made about 2000 copies of the fixed gray cartridge version. My favorite game in my collection of all time is The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask.
1. Transformers obviously 2. Making photo comics on here with my bots 3. Guitar and collecting them. 4. Magic the gathering 5. Tinkering with classic cars like my 67 Pontiac. 6. Keeping aquariums. Currently overrun with fancy guppies.
