Soundwave's satellite has been mentioned a few times as an excellent update for the character. I agree.

I'm also very fond of Blitzwing's F4 Phantom alt mode; its a just such a uniquely shaped jet with a lot of charm and character.

Ironhide's Ute mode is likewise a very smart and sensible update from, well, a van. Though I would have preferred his more affable "Good old boy" persona to the Dirty Harry pastiche they stuck him with.

The car that should be Bumblebee's vehicle mode in live-action.





Although Jazz is too small for my liking, I cannot criticize his choice in vehicle modes.





And Sideswipe should not have changed his vehicle mode from its initial version.

 

If only that had been used for Optimus instead of Galvatron...
