I tend to gravitate towards planes and tanks, how about you?

 

I have a weakness for jet-formers.

 

Pretty much any kind of military armored vehicle from tanks to IFVs to SPGs and APCs.

 

Big planes

 

hmm, I tire of Cars, Jetformers almost always seem to have no idea what to do with the robots legs (Cybertron Jetfire being one of the exceptions) Tanks usually seem to think Armada Megatron is the mold to be followed, "Space Modes" Seem to be lumps of crap like energon shockwave of 2007 Megatron..


I'll answer, Helicoptors!

 

This. I'm a sucker for any AFV. I like jets also, as well as sporty, exotic cars.

 

I do love a good copter former when they're done right (preferably without a space-hungry spinning blade mechanism). DotM Skyhammer is currently top of the pile in my opinion.

 

Planes, cars that aren't sedans, and motorcycles.

 

I like Transmetals with wheels.

... plug aside, I've always had a fettish for vehicle modes that did what they could to compliment & add to the character, rather than just being a hindrance or otherwise just there. Do I have a favorite? Not really, especially since I also like having a variety.

I do wish there were more older & antique cars like Hubcap out there, though. Maybe something that became a Chevy Nomad...

 

Skyhammer is very, very cool. I usually don't like helicopters, but he is just so damn cool

I am a complete sucker for planes, choppers and realistic military vehicles.

One of my ALL TIME WANTS....Is a Human Alliance Ransack. pretty sure its ransack..the bi-plane from ROTF scout. I would pay ALOT for a HA Bi-plane or decent sized chopper or mini jet.

My Holy Grail of TFs unproduced would be a Leader sized F-14 and a Leader Blackout, dare I say

Beast-formers are my most unliked, beside a decent set of dino bots.

Hell...I would really dig Human Alliance Dino bots...kinda like dino rider sor something...I LOVE HA stuff..I hope it continues..But im afraid it will transition to TFP stuff..and TFP will get no money of mine..

 

Yea dude....Thats TRUE...Im SO tired of modern cars...In the ROTF Game for 360 there was an Autobot 76 Transam..I would kill for that! id like to see OFF The wall shit like a 64' Impala convertable...

But then the bot modes would have to just be completely baddass because there would be no broad love for old cars.

One of my favorite Gobots was Tux.

Would you buy a Model T transformer if it had suspension like Comettor/Armorhide, and transformed into a WICKED looking Bot? Ransack is one of my all time fav scouts, just because it SO off the wall....and the bot mode..for me is KILLER

 

I'm a big fan of beast modes. Insect-ish modes in particular seem to interest me the most. I'm a huge fan of Waspinator, Blackarachnia and Scorponok.

I do like good truck modes as well, though. Cybertron Optimus and RiD Ultra Magnus are two of my favorites.

 

Probably motorcycles because they have interesting transformations and it's fun getting my other figures to ride them.

I usually prefer the non-vehicle modes. And I'm tired of regular cars since 99% of the Autobots turn into one. Only car modes I like are the armored weaponized ones like the movie Wreckers and Warbot Defender.

 

I like the old, the obscure, and the odd. And anything that has non-missile action features of it's own (like Movie Bonesrusher's "claw").

As for a specific type of alt, construction vehicles... which isn't exactly specific (I've seen pickup trucks literally labeled "construction vehicle").

 

In order of preference - trucks, jets, cars, and tanks.

That said, I will rarely buy a figure solely because of it's vehicle mode. I go by other criteria, including quality, scale, style, and value. I also prefer on-screen characters, because I like to have figures to whom I can attribute personalities.

Now as far as alt-modes:

- I've never cared much for helicopter-formers. They tend to have a lot of kibble, especially when it comes to the rotors which always seem to get in the way in robot mode.
- So far I haven't bought many bike-formers, but I plan on getting Prime Arcee.
- I'm not a big fan of beast modes. Unless it's a wolf - then I would have to get it for purely sentimental reasons.
- I hate almost all Cybertronian modes, because most of them are jumbled messes that fail to look like anything recognizable. WFC is an exception.

I think that pretty much covers it.

 

I prefer military vehicles. Tanks, Jets and Choppers are my favorite altmodes. Trucks are always cool.

Still, I think that there are mostly cars in my collection.

Yup, I like good old-fashioned cars. Always liked toy cars as a kid, and Transformers upped that ante.

Mind you, there's plenty of other alt modes I love (I'm a sucker for A-10 Thunderbolts, and big trucks are always fun). But when it comes down to it I'm sort of a traditionalist... and I like my car-formers.

 

Yeah, him and Tomahawk are the best choppers out there, IMO. My favorite think about Skyhammer is the ways his rotors are integrated into his bot mode.
