In order of preference: Masterforce, Victory, Headmasters.

I do like them all, but despite being the season 4 we never got, Headmasters is sinfully boring.

Victory is just a very well done, normal Transformers show.

Masterforce took the brand in a very different direction and made it exciting! Not to mention that it took the Pretenders, some of the worst TF's out there, and made them Super God Awesome!!
I always say I used to absolutely HATE the Pretenders untill I watched Masterforce. Now I hate that they get shoved aside for the Godmasters mid-way through the show. I'd love to see them get some real time to shine in the comics.

Victory just edges out Masterforce for me. I just like the Victory villains a little more: Deszaras hating Star Saber much more than Megatron hated Optimus Prime; the power struggle among the Brest Force is as good as any untrustable henchmen in the franchise; Dinoforce is a team of fun, evil, dumb Dinobots in shells.

My vote goes for Headmasters. I'm pretty neutral on Victory, and admittedly Masterforce has the better story. But Headmasters has that goofy 80's anime charm that keeps me coming back for more. And I have to admit, I love the Star dubs. XD

My most favorite ones is TF: Headmaster
    1. It explains how Seasons 4 SHOULD be, even it said different things about HEADMASTER's origins.
    2. It explains how characters appear in Seasons 4 were meant to be. i.e. Sixshot has more potential to be a significant character, and it explains what happened to many "comic relief" Triplechangers. (Broadside)
    3. and it told us what happened to Blitzwing after he was banished from Destron ranks.

Reasons I don't like Super God Masterforce
    1. worst storyline, it doesn't explain character's background (original G1 said how several characters were before the great war), not even explain how Ginrai became Godmaster, and not even say why Ginrai's transtector looks much like Convoy? and it doesn't say "when" did this story took place. ironically TF: Victory is the sequel, Ginrai and (tanned) Minerva reappeared.
    2. About Minerva/Nightbeat. Did Takara tries to market Licca chan using Transformers animated cartoon?
compare Minerva the Headmaster Jr. with Licca and you'll see the similarities
2.1 Both are half-friench half japanese!
2.2 Both are hailed from aristocrats (while Ginrai hails from nameless peasant in Nagano)
2.3 Both are saw frequent travels between Japan and Europe
2.4 Both are blonde and have white skins! featuring Western features but didn't feature asian features on appearances.
2.5 Both lives a relatively luxury life compared to others. (and maybe even Witwicki family)
    in western story.
ok. Takara simply don't market girlie things on boy's tarketed shows but... i don't know. Minerva just look TOO girlie to TF. while several women featured in later TF continuity is more or less tomboys :p
and another fact. in standard Licca storyline. she should be 40-50 years (born in 1967, and spend her youth time in Japan) by the time Masterforce took place! and her kid (have the same name) should be 20, maybe Minerva was one her children. or maybe belong to the same clan (Miramonde)
soon Minerva was forgotten, along with Ginrai

    meow~

I'm currently watching Masterforce but I haven't watched the other two yet. I'll probably watch Victory once I'm finished though.

So far Masterforce is my fourth favourite transformers series after BW, Animated and BM, it's a lot better than I expected even though their are still a few problems I have with it.

Masterforce for me. It had a great story and the last battle was epic.

    This would be my order:

Masterforce I really hated to begin with. The kid characters seemed to be running the show and were the focus and I'm not fond of that. Once they got shunted to one side a bit and the God Masters became more the focus it became a really great show. I didn't even mind the human adults controlling the TF bodies. I think it's just when kids do it it bugs me. And the desert battle between Ginrai and Overlord is one of my all-time top TF battles. This show just edges out:

Headmasters. Although it was cool to see a different take on characters I had in my collection, the series was a bit of a mess. And Daniel got on my tits more than he ever did in the US series three. The animation style was still very normal G1 though so it was like wearing a familar comfy coat that had a few messy seams. And a lame Circle of Friendship ending sewn in the collar.

I struggled through Victory. It was kinda boring and samey and we never got most of the toys over here so there were far less designs to make a personal connection with. Most of the characters didn't have any standout personalities. I've been meaning to watch it all again sometime though.

    :confused2  :wtf:

Who, or what the hell is Licca Chan?

Almost none of the females fetured in any TF story are what I would call "tomboys". Many of them are actually quite girly.
