Saw the worst TF movie thread and thought we could use some more positivity. What is your favorite bay movie and why?

ROTF is my favorite overall because of the action and unique robot designs, and for some strange reason, I don't find as many of the human scenes in ROTF that bad compared to TF1 and DOTM. If they cut out most of the human scenes in the first half of DOTM, like Sam looking for a job, then DOTM would've been my favorite.

For some extreme positivity, I think Steve Jablonsky's scores for all 5 films are some of the best film scores ever, so I give all of these films a tie in terms of music.

I like all of them to varying degrees, but I like AoE the best. I just find it more thematically fascinating than the others, and the characters and story were also very interesting. It was also the most sci-fi of the film's I felt. It may have been less in the way of a traditional Autobots vs. Decepticons story than what preceded it, but it's really darn cool for the Season 3-type adventure it's trying to be. The score is unique, and it represents a genuine Shrexpansion of the Bay universe. Finally, Hound is perhaps the closest thing to Bayverse Shrek!

You bring up a solid point. The closer you get to shrek, the better.

My vote goes to the first movie.

    - Reason 1: In the first movie, Sam was actually pleasant to watch, and I liked his chemistry with Mikaela.

    - Reason 2: I actually like the Autobots' and Decepticons' designs. They were certainly alien looking, but they weren't weird like some of the later characters looked. As the films went on, the Decepticons looked more and more monstrous, while the Autobots...well...some of them looked fine (Sideswipe, Crosshairs and Sentinel being my favorites), but others were a complete miss. Skids, Mudflap and Que are the first to come to mind. XP

    - Reason 3: I really liked that scene where Optimus, Jazz, Ironhide and Ratchet are talking outside that building (sorry, I don't know exactly where they were). It wasn't really anything special, but it was Cybertronian centered. No humans, just robots, which is great because that's what I want to see in a film about giant, alien robots. I really wish there were more scenes like that in the following films.

The first film is the best by far. The rest are quite terrible with Age of Extinction being the worst of them all.

Definitely the first one, but Revenge of the Fallen is a VERY close second. The two complement each other very well IMO.

ROTF, here's hoping it also gets a 15th anniversary theater showing.

Probably the first one, used to be DOTM though but honestly it didn't really hold up on the rewatch.

My vote goes to TF1, easily the best out of the Bayverse and possibly the best TF film ever, although the ‘86 movie and BBM are pretty good too. A close second would be DotM, which wrapped everything up perfectly. RotF and AoE were alright, while TLK was the absolute worst TF Bay film, possibly being his worst film ever.
