How that thing fell into the same set of releases as the awesome Hot Rod/Arcee/Devastator piece and Rumble statue is beyond me.

To be a little more fair, in Japan public baths are not an uncommon thing. And children around the globe play in the bath. So I suspect this is a product of that culture and intended to be completely devoid of any sexual connotation.

That said, outside of Japan, like North America or Europe for example, it does seem very perverse. (I might have used to many comma's there...)

I'm willing to give Japan the benefit of the doubt on this but I do raise my eyebrow at it.

Optimus is very clearly perving on her and there's no reason why they'd do a toy of a naked girl in a hot spring with something squirting water between her legs without any sort of sexual connotation.
    It's pretty damn gross.

I own this and have no problems with it. It's a giant baby version of T-AI that got ahold of poor Sky-Byte, ie: Anime wackiness. Optimus probably followed him there. As for why T-AI is like that...whatever. Takara probably thought it was kawaii~

You guys are reading too much into it.

It's meant to be silly and cute.

Yes, it's strange as fuck, but it's not really perverted.

    Here's the line's wiki page:

KT Figure Collection - Transformers Wiki

I picked up the Devastator and either Frenzy or Rumble at a con once, can't remember which. They're pretty cool for what they are. I kinda wish now I'd bought the T-AI one too, if only for the sheer novelty and surreality of it, but at the time I found it too creepy.
