Wow never even seen that before.

My pick would be that horrible ROTF thing that transformed into a plane with a satellite dish

oh yeah, I totally agree with you and am actually personally offended by ER Arcee (and the Siege Seeker, I literally can't believe how accepting people are of that) and how she "transforms" by discarding 3/4s of the alt mode. (at least the Seige Seeker keeps it permanently attached) – just saying on a fundamental level I still don't find them as bad as much of what else has been posted - but still very, very bad (throw ER Cliffjumper in here too). :)

I had actually seen Bullet Bike before, and pretty sure I've included him in one of these "all time worst" threads, but Staxx was new to me, not sure how I missed him.

    [Victor Caroli]

Introducing the latest threat to the Autobots, it's Armada Scavenger and the exclusive Mini-Con Rollbar. When combined with Mini-Con Rollbar, Armada Scavenger shoots from the hip and doesn't take any lip. The exclusive features don't end there though. Armada Scavenger also comes with never before seen features that are activated by Mini-Con Rollbar such as stomping action and, a drum so powerful even Judge Doom would cower in fear. The 3 LR44 batteries ARE included so your Armada Scavanger is ready to start stomping and flattening anything in it's path this November from Hasbro.

    [/Victor Caroli]

Stratosphere doesn't have a satellite dish though.

no, but it was from the ROTF line... was just a suggestion as to perhaps what the OP was looking for.

(for my take, neither look good, but neither look anywhere near "worst ever" either)

It's not too terrible a figure to repurpose as Optimus, honestly. The problem is Hasbro decided to engage in false advertising on the package. If they'd used recolored Thunderclash art or new artwork, rather than tossing an edited Laser Optimus on the box, he might have been more accepted.

    Armada really had some turds.

Scavenger for sure. What I can’t forget was the mess that Sideswipe was. The robot mode is a catastrophe.

the worst design ever for a character to me is movie Starscream. Nothing about that design should have been approved.

I still remember when the first sketch of the design leaked out and was described as a cross between a gorilla and a kite, and I was like…. No, they wouldn’t possibly do that….

    (They did)

This fucking thing is in the running for sure:

Without a doubt the lousiest QC of any Transformer I have ever handled. There are 5 separate components that love to fall off during transformation: the head, the shoulder spikes, and the car kibble on the forearms. And even when you do finally get it transformed, after much frustration, one side of the SUV inevitably refuses to fully peg together.

Kingdom Cheetor pales before Universe Cheetor, who is himself world better than Beast Machines Supreme Cheetor.

I 2nd Universe Galvatron, I returned him the same day I brought him and it was a 45-minute walk to Toys R Us.
However, I can't believe that no one has mentioned Power Core Combiners, namely Double Clutch. He couldn't stay together in any mode and the combined formed kept falling apart. I kept the drones and gave them to the Huffer from that line and I think I just eventually donated everything to Goodwill.
Also Beast Wars Optimus Minor, he just Transformers by doing a handstand. PCC-toy_DoubleClutch.jpg

Armada Side Swipe (A.S.S.) has plenty of value:

    - great looking alt mode, with 4 functional rolling wheels (something that today can't be given for granted)
    - two gimmicks in alt mode: "hood punching" and "minicon reveal", easy to activate over and over
    - clownish-looking robot mode, ideal for a small child, with "cowboy boots" and Popeye forearms
    - two gimmicks in robot mode: "uppercut punch", which is also minicon-activated, and "forearm missile", which is trigger-activated
    - two combining weapons in robot mode: gun and knife can combine to form a sort of bayonet
    - weapon storage in alt mode and robot mode
    - minicon accessory, transforms to a small drone
    - the minicon can be stored inside the alt mode and completely hidden, see above
    - the minicon can be stored on the back of A.S.S. to form a small jetpack
    - articulation: shoulders (forward, limited lifting to the sides), elbows (with rotation), hips (full side kicks possible), total:12
    - great stability in robot mode, it doesn't fall off easily (compare to too many recent releases)
    - solid, hefty plastic, stands the test of time after almost 20 years
    - and, as a bonus, all A.S.S.es can combine!

    Armada Side Swipe
    Micron Legend Stepper
    Universe Oil Slick
    Universe Treadshot
    Galaxy Force Runamuck

POTP Starscream is the worst I owned. Goofy bot mode, jet mode covered by tacky looking stickers and doesn't even attempt to hide the bot underneath. Transformation is fiddly and tabs like to randomly pop out. No redeeming qualities.

Yeah, I was working at Kay Bee at the time Machine Wars came out and had no idea about the Euro side of things.

Passed on that guy hard at the time because I thought the colors were terrible and it was a 'cash grab' (I was REALLY into Beast Wars at the time [but also a G1 kid?]).

Just paid a hefty price for a boxed one this past month...
