What is the absolute most abysmal transformers figure to ever exist?
Armada Side Swipe.
Titanium 6" Cybertron Heroes Megatron (Tank) from 2006 gets my vote. Sure there are crummy happy meal toys and such that are worse figures but they at least didn't set out to be something and then fail so miserably.
bold forms gladius is a absolutely awful figure, but it's third party so it doesn't count
armada optimus prime?
The list would be long and distinguished - most of Beast Machines, Most of the Titanium's, even a couple of crappy MPs, but I'd give the award jointly to Armada Sideswipe & Blurr. Pure excrement.
armada blurr at least attempts to look good, while sideswipe looks like crap
Just based on the figures I have had experience with...
Studio Series BB Movie Shatter (car mode) comes to mind. That mold was absolute junk. Parts kept popping off with every slightest movement from transformation to simple posing. I don't think there was ever a way to fix it either. Even with future floor polish.
Universe Galvatron is a contender.
You can't ask expect an objective answer to a subjective question.
Oh no, wait, you can. Beast Wars Fuzor Injector
Worst Transformers Toy You’ve Ever Owned?
What was the WORST Mainline Shelfwarmer in all of Transformers that you've ever seen?
There's already a thread for best Transformer, this one is supposed to be for worst.
Nuh uh. We can include 3rd party in here. Plenty of people feel they're the better Transformer for that character for their collection, whoever that character may be, so yeah, let's include them as well.
So, I second your mention of Bold Forms Gladius and follow that up with anything Impossible Toys. Because my gosh, they went for the bottom of the barrel and made sure to scrape through it and dig beneath it. Some of those figures were straight TRASH.
On the official end of things... The SS86 pack-ins of Daniel and Wheelie. They're completely useless and a box filler just to hit the price point. I can't even bring myself to put them with my collection. They're collecting dust somewhere in my storage closet because they suck that bad.
It'll always be ROTF Blazemaster.
bold forms gladius is a plastic explosion at best. oh, sorry wait that was an insult to plastic.
Nah. I could flip that little motorcycle out forever. Punchy arms rule too.
haslab unicron may be big, but that doesn't mean he's good. He has a ton of panels on him and honestly,if you want a good unicron figure get 01 studio cell or pumpkin
aoe leader optimus prime is pretty bad, there's a ton of panels and a huge backpack (still not as bad as ER arcee)
I can think of another bad figure... WFC/FOC Jazz. He's a literal shellformer. He's a hollowed-out, waffled piece of plastic that folds over to form a robot with dangly parts doubling as limbs. (Even they were waffled.) One of the worst figures I've ever owned. I know the economy was trash, then, I know they were cutting corners to keep costs low and keep the stuff coming but dang.
An eggshell that folds in half to form a robot. We've come a long, long way since then. Thankfully. Heck, even the Cyber Battalion and Evergreen stuff is better made than he is and they're designed around the same ideas/cost-cutting. How did he suck so bad??
Separate names with a comma.
