I noticed Amazon has listing for the ROTF Score, Soundtrack, and a Special Edition Soundtrack (which costs a decent amount more than the regular soundtrack). However, they give no track listings or information whatsoever on the "Special Edition" soundtrack, which makes it impossible to know exactly what's on it.

Does anyone have any news on this?

 

Interesting. I figured it would have been one of those double disc soundtracks, though the listing states it will be one disc.  

 

Hoepfully it's the version that includes The Touch and that Duet. That way we know for sure they are on a completely seperate CD.

It most likely will include a bonus dvd featuring the inevitable music video to the new Linkin Park song, the making of the music video, and other crap that people don't care about on a bonus disc.... I never got the point to deluxe cds without additional songs.

 

I'm gonna go with a guess that it has chromed parts...

If it's a Special Edition SCORE, then yes! If it's just a soundtrack, then pass.

 

Meh, I'm waiting until it either hit Itunes anyway, so its an academic concern to me.

 

 

my guess maybe that it might be one of those enhanced cds
where you put it in the computer and it will have some files on it
like the ROTF movie trailers maybe
or if linkin park made a video it be on there
or just linkin park song with a bunch of different clips from ROTF and the first movie as a video
Maybe some different artwork or like a limited edition cover?

 

The DVD made drop the dime on it. If it has Stan on it it will be a funny collectable.  

 

Well, soundtracks tend to be 90% "music not in the movie", so a special edition one will be what, 99% music not in the movie?

Considering it's a 2 Disc set including a CD & DVD, my guess is that the DVD is the soundtrack in 5.1 surround sound... or something to that effect. That's typically the rule of thumb nowadays when music CD's come with a bonus DVD. It will likely contain some bonus (and probably quite useless) video content as well.

 

I would love for this to be a specail edition of the Score with a bonus DVD with a making of the score featurette. Alowing Steve to talk of his brillaint music how he came up with his Themes and Motifs. Some recording sessions, actors opinons on the score and as a big finish and entire cue performed start to finish. I know this aint gonna happen, its just gonna be a L.P iz so kools we can dooze film muzik too u kno type thing banging on about how great they are etc. Win or Fail only time will tell

 

I'd like this too. Doubt it would ever happen, but it'd be neat if it did.
