when it first shows prime and he is talking to sam, sam is wearing all black and in a cemetery. whats up with that? is it a funeral for a character that dies in the movie? or maybe a late one for jazz?

At a guess I would say if he is visiting someones grave then maybe his great great grandfathers Archibald or whatever his name was. When Sam starts going nuts after looking at the shard he goes to his grandfathers grave cause his grandfather also started going nuts drawing the ancient symbols etc? Just a wild guess. Maybe its just a meeting place to see Prime? Isnt Jazz supposed to be in the Ocean anyway? Rumour of Long Hall stepping on his dead body?

You know a few months back, I heard something about the possibility that John Tuturro's character Agent Simmons gets killed in this movie. I don't remember the source, but I just wrote it off as B.S. ... until I saw that part in the trailer. Could be I don't know...

Jazz had his funeral in the Alliance/Reign of Starscream comics (I can't remember which one). Optimus was thanking Lennox and his team for joining him at Jazz'z funeral as they were dropping him in the abyss.

I wonder where are the rest of the Constructicons in the ocean scene? Only Mixmaster, Rampage, and Long Haul? I guess the other ones show up later in Egypt (I have a feeling Scrapper and Hightower won't be getting much screentime other than on Devastator).

    Well, the rumor is that....
Simmons will die in the movie while taking out Devastator
, but I think that will happen towards the end and this scene is probably not at the end of the film.

This. Prime doesnt look beat up at all. Must be near the beginning of the movie, and more than likely a humans grave.

    hmm...

Based on Sam's line "This isn't my war" my guess will be that someone dear to Sam gets killed by a Decepticon. This maybe an intentional murder and a decepticon evidence is left, and the autobots find out that the cons did it. that may justify the "this isn't my war" line.

The Autobots find that with this possible murder Sam is definitely involved in the Autobots/decepticons war, thus justifing the line "I fear so it'll be".

    I'm inspired....:thumbs2:

Wherever it is, Prime is just out walking around, so it must be secluded.

...Oh dear, I didn't even pick up on that scene. Hmmmm. Who would they kill off in the begining of the second movie? I highly doubt someone dies. Unless it is some random person who dies because they are like standing next to Sam and get killed accidentally in an attack on Sam....I will have to watch that trailer again.

    EDIT
Just re-watched it. Would he really wear tennis shoes to a funeral? He seems to be under dressed for a funeral. Maybe he is visiting his great (great?) Uncle's grave.

From the looks of it that scene happens at the end of the movie, hence the onmious dialogue between Prime and Sam. Back when the first info of ROTF came out, the rumors said that the funeral was for Simmons' mother.

All the graves around Sam have the family name Baldwin.

hmm, given the fact that he's having all sorts of issues with the flashes and whatnot, im guessing that he goes to Captain Witwicky's grave looking for some sort of answers-the part about it not being his war is him saying he didnt ask for those visions.

though it being about the loss of a character due to Decepticons is interesting.

Obviously, it's Mojo's funeral. He's there in the college scenes, but later is killed when the decepticons attack Sam's house. That's why you only see Sam and his dad in the "We're all going together!" scene. Sam's dad doesn't want to split up after already losing one family member.

Now replace "Mojo" with "Sam's mom". That's my real theory.

Sam's mom's maiden name is Baldwin.

him losing his mom would be a good writing tactic i think, but would totally suck emotionally for him, hed have to be SUPER REDICULOUSLY SAD the rest of the movie

Pretty sure prime says 'I fear it soon will be'.

Its probably either just a random safe meeting place or sam is visiting his grandfathers grave.
