I consider the following to be exceptional:

    Battle Blades Bumblebee

    Sidearm Sideswipe

    ROTF Ice Cream twins

    Henkei/Universe Hound

    Animated Blurr

    Animated Rodimus

Animated has some really strong contenders. As does Classics/Generations and a few movies.

But none of them rank up objectively as the single best. You can group them into good and bad though.

    A) Better plastic
    B) Symetrical Hands
    C) hadn't been the Fugly twins for heads.

Lots of good choices here but a couple questions:

    United Wheeljack over Generations? :inquisiti

RTS Prime is IMHO, a floppy mess in alt mode without the sword stowed. And it doesn't even pin together that well even with the sword stowed. Makes him a kind of parts-former. How can a "best ever" have one mode that's broken?

    I don't know.

Terradive is pretty easy where I come from.

I agree with so many of these posts :D . I do not agree with ROTF Lockdown though as much as i love the figure his arms being so easy to pop-off is a big negative point for him imo.

    What's your point?

Terradive is definitely on my 'honourable mention' list. One of the highlights of 2010 as far as I'm concerned. Excellent figure.

Bang for buck, it has to be Battle Blades Bumblebee. It's bigger than other deluxes without being lanky [like animated Lockdown], compresses to a meaty deluxe car and each limb has a gimmick [each arm a different weapon, the legs are automorphing and the head has the mask]. More moving parts than any other deluxe.

    Runner ups...
    Animated Rodimus
    Animated Prowl [samurai version]
    Generations Wheeljack
    United Jazz
    Henkei Sunstreaker
    WFC Optimus Prime

    My favourite five, in no particular order;

    • Hunt for the Decepticons Battle Blades Bumblebee - A brilliant version of movie Bumblebee, and one of his most accurate toys to date. And all of those little features like the battle mask and arm mounted weapons just make it even more awesome!
    • Reveal the Shield Special Ops Jazz - Another brilliant figure, and one of my favourite classics figures. It has so much posability, and the speakers are just briliant too!
    • Hunt for the Decepticons Sidearm Sideswipe - Probobly the best interpretation of movie Sideswipe out there, and I wish I still had mine. Only downsides are the paint job and lack of swords, but other then that its a lovely toy. Wish I could get the Japanese version.
    • Generations Cybertronian Megatron - I don't know what it is, but I really like this figure. Maybe it's the simple but fun transformation, or the fact that it's Megatron. I just love it!
    • Dark of the Moon Crankcase - I love his robot mode, and I love his vehicle mode. And his Mech-Tech is the best. Nuff said.

I'm going to through out Generations Scourge out there as well.

Awesome looking alt mode - almost robot part showing
Excellent robot mode that has an awesome throwback to the g1 Animated fig. Only drawback is he's a tad back heay.

My absolute favorite for years has been the TFA cybertronian deluxe optimus prime. Dynamic look, very strong lines, great silhouette, great posability, and an awesome transformation that not only lets him keep holding both his weapons, but ends the transformation into robot mode by swinging his axe down.

Though i've only recently begun collecting, I really like Generations Kup. I only have a few deluxe figures, but he's great IMO.
