There is no one figure that can be called best overall it will be a matter of opinion so get ready for tons of answers.

My vote is for the classics Cyclonus mold specifically the RTS deco. The mold has a great transformation and both modes look great especially the robot mode. He is pretty tall for a deluxe and more importantly he is damn near kibble free with incredible light piping. Great articulation could benefit from a waste swivel but minor complaint. I love that Nightstick can peg into the thrusters without rotating out the fist. A damn fine deluxe.

Tuner Mudflap. There's a reason there were so many of him everywhere!:lol

All kidding aside, the true definition of "best deluxe TF" falls more into personal preference than actual qualities, as there have been an increasing number of near-perfect deluxe figures. I.E. Movie Landmine has INSANE articulation and hyper-poseability, while Animated Prowl doesn't have as many joints but still has a ton of poseability and a 100% nailed show accuracy look to him, right down to the no kibble part. It just depends on what you value the most out of a deluxe figure.

My _only_ issue with Cyclonus are his legs, they just don't feel right to me in alt mode. Otherwise, he does posess all those other positive traits. For me he's the "one that could have been perfect if just....".

As for best dlx, I look at my small collection of newer Classics and movie figs and it's just to hard to pick. They are just so great. Special love for Red Alert though.

I would agree with those. WFC Prime got me back into collecting full throttle. United Jazz is definitely one of my favs.

I know there are some other really cool ones, but I can't think of any at the moment. I really like WFC Megs and Gen. Scourge as well.

I'd say Armada Demolisher, there is just something about that mold that just speaks to me... I'm sure plenty of folks would disagree with me.

    Runner up?

    Classics Grimlock
    Henkei Dinobot

Top 3 for me would be:

    1) Universe 2.0 Cyclonus - Transformation is simply, yet intricate. Both modes and coloration do his G1 counterpart justice.

    2) RTS Jazz - Great updated alt mode that still retains the charm of the classic, G1 figure. The pop-out speakers are an awesome touch.

    3) Generations Darkmount. Great alt mode. Looks just like his Marvel comics counterpart. Love his weapons.

Wreckgar. They manage to make the first CHUG style motocycle-former look good.

For me, it's Battle Blade Bumblebee. He has so many awesome gimmicks in one toy. Extremely screen accurate in boy robot and car mode.

i know EXACTLY what you mean about demolisher!
i loved that figure. i even went in and gave articulation to his shoulders. but then i scrapped him for a custom. i wanna get another one and make a more articulated version of him though. i loved his character in the show hah

but yeah, with my answer.. it changed daily. classics mirage one day, then generations warpath the next. or scourge. there are so many awesome deluxe class figures

Animated Lockdown. Tons of articulation and tall as hell.

    RTS Wreckgar a close second.
