Im looking for a resource to show me exactly what 100% complete g1 characters should have? Starting a new collection and my short term goal is to get about 10-15 of my fav G1's 100 complete over the next 6 months or so (depending on how much i start dropping) ebay is nice to see items listed as 100% but is there a resouce that lists each g1 toy and their parts/accessories. Thanks for any info. And im off and running, scored a "100% loose devastator" from a early morning ending auction. Shipped for 68 bucks. My Girlfriend was not happy when i brought home a display case for the dining room.... Thanks all
The Resources tab at the top of your screen is a good place to start, *hehe* I also find it easier to get the instructions and look at them to find all of the parts that came with a figure. Botch the Crab has a pritty good collection of instruction scans to look at, and the site is more dependable than TFRaceTrack.
When you say "shipped for 68 bucks," you mean to say that the total cost including shipping is $68? If that's the case, you either got a KO, or an amazing deal.
It does happen; I picked up a complete Devastator in superb condition a year or 2 back for $60 shipped. The seller even sent me the instructions when he found them a few weeks later.
Hence why I said it'd be an amazing deal. I haven't seen a complete G1 Devastator for under $200-ish in a long time, though, especially not after the universal price increase following the movie craze. If it's legit, then consider me jealous.
Do any of those aforementioned sites also contain pictures of their boxes? That'd be cool if there was a box archive somewhere.
It is loose, 100% complete. No instructions or box. Tons of pictures in the thread and it is Def G1. Some chrome discoloration and rust and according to the auction the right arm wont stay posed but everything constructs. I think it was a good deal for a fair-good condition loose devastator. I have been following them on ebay the last month and I think they are averaging around 90-110 for a similar product. I dont think it is an absolute steal or anything. I think if you look for auctions ending during the workday or very early hours you can get a 100% loose Devastator for less than 100 bones no problem.
i use transformerland.com go to indentify, and you should get it from there. Good luck on your search. and congrats on the devastator
Honestly for checking completion www.transformerland.com is much better than www.tfu.info. My reasons are: 1. Some figures doesn't have all the parts listed 2. Alot of the parts doesn't have the pictures. 3. The search is weird, half of the time it doesn't work right, I have to use the alphabet index to find the figure. The only advantage I see using TFU over Transformerland is they have pictures for both modes of the figure. Transformerland only shows the non-robot mode. Also, $200 for devastator is definitely overpriced, even in mint condition. Unless it's a giftset complete devastator usually goes for around $90
Not to knock other sites, but why send them elsewhere when this site has G1 pics with complete parts? Just click resources up below the banner and surf to the toy you want to see.
ha, it took this post for me to actually chk out the new features nice work there guys. that said, gotta admit i tend to go to either seibertron or tfu, if only out of habit. i just like the idea of chking out different sites for their different aspects. like ill chk out allspark for art, tformers for news, that kinda stuff.
