Lockdown salvaged Blurr?... This dude was created from a lot I got off eBay...it was a mix match of junkers from the Animated line, Lockdown, Sunstorm, Grimlock, and a Blurr...all missing something. For some reason, I love doing this here lately...taking junkers, and mashing them into one cohesive creation. My initial creation was Grimlock: Minor/Repaint: - TFA: Grimlock...Alternated But, he was never the real intent of the purchase, he just happened to come about after some conversation with a fellow customizer and friend here. My intent was to mount the center section / cockpit area of the jet into the car...filling the void of the missing piece of the Lockdown figure. I had no plan for who it would be at first, then I saw the Blurr junker just laying there while sifting through some bits and ends, and figured what the hell...let's see if we can get that head to fit! I honestly think I noticed the Blurr head, because the kid and I had not too long ago watched the episode where Blurr was crushed, so he was fresh in my mind, as was that story. So yeah, he's a true mix match of parts. Animated Sunstorm, Lockdown, and Blurr. Movie BB Thrust, styrene plate and rod...with some LEGO to boot. Made some mods to the body of the car as well. Rear bumper delete (learned this one from @deliciouspeter) Made wheel covers from styrene sheet. Modified the exhaust. I also changed the way the blaster mounts to the arm. Paints used are a little bit of everything...rattle cans to brush paints, with a little chrome pen action here and there. The center section mounts to the car the same way the original piece would have. Nothing other than the center piece / engine / weapon has to be removed to TF this guy either. It all fits. With the head fin being that flexible, rubbery plastic, it folds right into the cavity. It comes out a little crooked when taking him from alt to bot mode, but that just lends to the lore behind the custom IMO. I hope you enjoyed this guy...Thanks for stopping by!
That’s a wild take on Blurr! I love it of course. And the use of a junk bin/haul is inspired. Nice job!
Gorgeous work bro! I can see this as Blurr, but as others have said... it is a strong Turbomaster Boss feel, or homage Still Epic regardless!!!
Thanks all. I appreciate the comments. as for the Batmobile and Boss comments…yeah. I could see it after I was done and it was mentioned to me… and honestly, other than the custom Boss that Jarrod made from Blurr a while ago, and the recent exclusive, I had and still have, no real clue as to who Boss is…was.
Dude has the mega buster and the same alt mode as turbo master boss, this is exactly the kinda wild shit I like from radicons
