I know a lot of people by now either have the FP Bruticus or some version of the FOC Hasbro one. TFC seems intent on doing a lot of the combiners and i suddenly wondered: if TFC made one, think you'd go for it? Since we dont have one to look at, assume its as G1 accurate as their previous combiners, good alt modes, slightly off heads, and typically one coloration difference. What would you do?

Short answer is, I'd definitely buy it and I'd like jump on many of its redecos (particularly Battle Gaia and CR Ruination, maybe G2).

This is something I've been wondering, if TFC considers Bruticus an option (presumably to do it in scale with Devs & Superion) or if they consider it "covered" by the FP Colossus. I'm honestly hoping TFC is willing to do their own version with brand new molds for the five. My hope there has nothing to do with lack of satisfaction with FP's (it's bloody awesome, I own two sets each of Munitioner & Explorer and Warcry & Flameblast, cobbling together Bruticus and "Battle Gaia" versions), but simply hope that we'll get a Bruticus that won't look shrimpy next to TFC's Devs and Superion in a Classics lineup. Plus, unlike many of the other combiner teams, the Combaticons have multiple uses thanks to the G1 mold's various redecos.

So yeah, I'm very curious to know how TFC views the Combaticons.

I'd buy a TFC Bruticus, even with having the FP release.

    OH god yes

As awesome as fp colossus is, tfc has really established a standard of scale for me personally

And I would love to have every combiner at that size!

I probably wouldn't like it. More expensive, most likely wouldn't be in scale with Giant and the upcoming Menasor and Computron, and the proportions would most likely be worse than FP Bruticus. I'm satisfied with FP Bruticus.

I'd buy it, but I'd suggest they leave it until a little later in their release schedule. There is plenty for them to do in the meantime.

yes, i want this to happen, g2 colours offered as well as g1 please, i will then have a great brut collection, custom, g2 original, g2 foc and collussus, i look forward to this happening, and i also consider tfc to have a good scale when compared to other classic style characters :)

I don't like TFC. Too plain(in the details department), too big, too expensive :p

I'd rather have Fans Project make new limbs and torso. Or have Mastermind Creations try their hand at it. TFC's aesthetic isn't really my thing, too AEC-y. Even the Aerialbots, which have improved, still suffer from that off look. If you're going to spend that much, it should at least look like something a bit more high end.

I'd buy it. Bruti/Combaticons are my fave combiner team and gestalt bot. Love FP Bruticus but he's by no means the perfect representation of the character. I'd love if TFC tackled Voyager-sized figures so they'd scale (relatively well) with MP-sized figures like the Seekers, Soundwave, etc. And of course, the inevitable upgrade kits to make not-Bruti much bigger to stand in said same scale/collection.

I have both Hercules and Giant and like both for different reasons. Same would apply for two differently sized versions of Bruti, too.

The Stunticons are the group that I think can be left alone (meaning, to FansProject's current combiner that's forthcoming). At least with TFC offering their Devs, Superion and let's say a hypothetical Bruticus, they would have a larger scale than the smaller Giant/FP Superion/Colossus offer. With Menasor, I can't imagine that being much different (deluxe cars makes sense) and making it bigger might look weird when observing the individual parts (Voyagerish sized cars would look off compared to preexisting Classics cars and the other TFC combiner members). TFC could still do their own Menasor still, but if FP executes theirs (as everyone expects), I think it will be viewed as "covered" in the eyes of most collectors since there won't be much more you can do with it.

I guess Ill be the elephant in the room by saying no. I wouldnt be on it. I dont want to see any more Devvys, Brutes, Superions, and NO more shattered glass repaints. I want to see things that dont exist yet. Menasor, Predaking, Monstructor, Abominous, a decent articulated G1 Omega, Computron, Defensor...not some cartoony crapfest either, Pre Earth Devvy would be acceptable. Thats what Id like to see. So tired of remakes and recolors. I understand the need for them is to bolster the piggybank and all but really....make something new. Heck Id settle for a decent Guardian repaint if it were accurate. Shockwave...wheres he at? Theres so much more out there we could be throwing our money at than just endless repaints and tweaked versions. Personally I think 3rd party manufacturers are getting a bit lazy and flagrant with the stuff theyre throwing at us.
