I'm just wondering that there are lots of people wanting the new Ferrari in the third movie as Hot Rod or Rodimus. So I'm just asking what if it's not? If you bought the toy of the Ferrari would you rename it Hot Rod or Rodimus or not?

 

It depends really, I feel Rodimus has that "unique" look where certain elements should be present, like his yellow wing spoiler, exhaust pipes on forearms, V crest on head, etc. If he looks startlingly like Rodimus, like Excellion from Cybertron, then yes, I probably would.

For the record, I would probably prefer Rodimus as a name to Hot Rod.

 

I'll go with whatever they name it. I think it is Cliffjumper based on CJ being in the new show. BB & Ratchet were in movie 1 & then on Animated. Up until the movie, Ratchet & BB have been absent since G1.

 

Suits me fine if he's not. Roddy's not high up on my character wishlist.

I think it is in Director Michael Bay's contract that all the Autobot cars have to be GM vehicles (rare exception for Optimus and ice cream truck). If is it not a GM vehicle it is probably a Decepticon like Barricade and Sideways.

 

I hope it's Rodimus/Hot Rod. If not...eh, who cares.

 

Er, I thought they had revealed the name of the Ferrari? I won't say it here as I don't want to give spoilers but it's NOT Hot Rod or Rodimus.

 

We've seen an awful lot of images of him driving in a convoy with Bumblebee and other Autobots. Unless he ends up being a spy, he pretty much has to be an Autobot.

 

Nope. We've now got a Ferrari and a Mercedes as Autobots.

It isn't exclusivity, but a lack of options. My understanding was that the other car companies weren't feeling very generous about lending their cars to the movie, but now that ROTF sold more than...um...something popular?...I'm sure a few more companies fought tooth and nail to get in on TF3  

 

I hope it's Hot Rod, because honestly, how the hell do you ruin Hot Rod?

 

I'd like to see Rod in the movie. I've always wanted to like the character, but felt that he was too bitchy and whiny in G1. Bay could make him into the bad-ass he's supposed to be.

whatever his name is, that's probably gonna ba a sweet toy.

 

I still say Overdrive. And I would rename the figure to become Overdrive if it's not him in the first place.
I believe Overdrive was the ONLY Ferrari in the Autobot team?
