So after watching Headmasters, Masterforce, and Victory, here is what I learned: BEWARE OF SPOILERS!

- There is always at least one hot headed Autobot (Cybertron) who doesn't like to follow orders and screws everything up.
- There is always at least one Decepticon (Destron) who learns the error of their ways and repents at the end of the series.
- Autobot leaders suck. Esp in Headmasters.
- "Eat this!" is a popular battle cry
- Females are useless, and non-existent in Victory.
- Robots and Magically appearing swords are pure win!
- Daniel is the biggest wuss in the universe.
- The introduction of a new Destron will show it as the meanest, baddest, low-down mo'-fo' around town, until the next new Decepticon comes in and then the previous is reduced to comic relief.
- Combinerz r aWS0me!11!!11
- Destron leaders have a hard-on for Earth and always want to blow it up.
- Little boys and robots are always BFFs!
- Little boys and robots are creepy.

 

To add-on one to your list:

If their toy is no longer on mass retail, they will hardly ever or never transform to their alt. mode. (eg. Arcee in Headmasters)

This applies in the AEC series too, doesn't it? You had Hot Shot in Armada, when he graduated in Energon, Ironhide took over. I never watched Cybertron much, but I'm assuming there was one in that.

 

Those are the reasons why I avoided Headmasters, Masterforce, Victory, Beast Wars II, Beast Wars Neo, RID, Armada, Energon, & Cybertron. Except that, I collect few RID & AEC figures despite not watching their shows. Just can't stand how the Japanese handle things, I avoid anime/manga in general, and TF animes in specific.

But yeah, in all seriousness, every Japanese Transformers series hits all the above bulletpoints you mentioned. In fact, 90% of all Japanese animation in general more or less follows all those tired cliches.

All three of those could also be said for G1 and Beast Wars.

 

But not as awkward & cliche as the Japanese Thuransufomaaaah!!

 

This is the funniest part of the whole list.

I haven't seen the Japanese G1 shows, but I did learn these important lessons from the Unicron Trilogy.

- If you're using an attack that relies on stock footage, the enemy will politely stand there and wait until you're done before attacking.
- Cars can drive in outer space.
- Even the bravest Decepticon will back off in the face of an angry girl.
- The only reason the Autobot and Decepticon war has been raging so long is because there weren't any kids around to tell them what to do.

is it not Masterforce that some , I belive HM jr that shows the other and vice versa the finger   . I know it means something else in Japan but still kinda funny, Would be fun to see in animated, Sari giving Megatron the finger

- Cars can disguise itself into billboard. I MEAN IT, A FRICKIN' BILLBOARD, DAMMIT!!
- A weird creature with giant wang and a cuckoo clock? Fail.

 

- The former Autobot Commander is allowed to do a major screw-up before the new guy takes over and still leave with relative grace.

  How could I forget that one!

I know that 'Old Tom' gives Star Saber the finger, and I think Killbison gives Tacklemach the finger as well. I'd love that for my sig.
