I don't know what happened but for whatever odd reason a few waves of figures that were supposed to be released in April have never made it where I live, and apparently never reached New England at all as far as I can tell. How the hell did something like this happen? I just started seeing the Hunt for the Decepticons and Generations lines starting a few weeks ago around August 10-12. But from that date all the way back to the beginning of May there has not been one sign of these figures at any major retail store like Target, Walmart, Toys R' Us etc. and during that period of time the only thing on the shelf was a relentless onslaught of Tuner Mudflaps rising up on the peg walls like a tsunami ready to engulf me. The waves I haven't seen were: Scout wave 6 (Skystalker, Scattorshot, Divebomb) Deluxe wave 8 (Sideswipe, Lockdown, Ratchet, Brawn) Deluxe wave 9 (Rampage, Evac) Scout wave 5 (Along with Deluxe Brawn) I've seen in my Walgreens I work at, and Voyager wave 7 I saw at the Toys R' Us in Times Square. I did however find many of the figures in those waves, but not at stores that sell them at an average price of $10-$11. Ratchet I found at Stop&Shop (Only 1 but I didn't feel like paying $15 for it!) and every wave I mentioned I found at a store that was privately owned in Newport, and deluxes were $20 a pop and scouts were $15. I've been looking for Skystalker since. I don't know what it is but this little bastard is frigging hard to find. Tried buying him online, either they were sold out completely or they had him for $30. Thirty dollars, for a fucking scout class figure. I could buy three of them for that amount (Yes I'm looking at you Toywiz.com, fuck you greedy bastards). Every single online site does not have him listed, every major retailer store like Walmart and Target did not have him. I didn't know Transformers toys could be as stealthy and elusive as the alternate mode they're based off of. And why doesn't HasbroToyShop have these figures too yet they still have Classics 2.0 figures for sale that were released in late 2008? Has anyone else found these figures incredibly hard to find and ended up paying more money than needed to add them to your collection? And if anyone knows where I can find Skystalker (Either in RI or online) for a cheap price it would be greatly appreciated
End of the line stuff. Hopefully some of them will show up at Marshalls/Ross/TJ Maxx down the line, but they did not see very wide distribution. Deluxe Wave 8 could be readily had, and warmed the pegs at a lot of stores, but the other Deluxe wave was near impossible to find outside of KMart and Walgreens, and the Scout wave was poorly distributed (I wasn't really looking for them, but saw reminace here and there). It is just the way it goes near the end of most lines, retailers are clogged with old stock and don't have room for the last waves.
dunno..i think the hftd and gens are the reason u cant find the rest of global allaince hasbro havent released the nest glboal allaicne on ym country and the hftd and pcc has started here...
The only stuff that was hard to find around here was wave 9 of the deluxes. I only saw those a couple of times at Walgreens. I recommend checking the sightings thread for your state. That way you know whats out and where so you're not looking for a toy 6 months after it hit store shelves.
Only the scouts never appeared around where I live. Frankly, I'm thinking of just getting a Sunspot redeco of Skystalker and painting the little bastard black so I don't have to pay rediculous prices for that toy.
I think in Texas we got everything. At least, I think. I don't remember ever seeing Red Rampage or Evac. And of course, like everyone else, we never got HA Mudflap. But no one did, and instead, I now see dozens of Tuner Mudflaps shelfwarming.
I've only seen the Deluxe Wave 8 figures, of which I have all but Ratchet. I've never once seen Rampage or Evac, and I really want to get Evac. As for Skystalker, I ended up buying him from a fellow TFW member, but it was for my friend's birthday present since she was wanting Skystalker so badly.
never saw skystalker here...never saw evac or scattershot at any target, walmart, or TRU i finally got evac at the local walgreens. never saw red rampage at the three major chains either.... that same walgreens that had evac has a red rampage...but i had already broken down and got the takara version off ebay*the desert combat version* So now i check the local walgreens 1st. got crankstart there before he hit any stores...sucks though because walgreens charges $9.99 or $10.99 for a scout...totally random...depends on the computer and it's time of month.... they charge $14.99 for a deluxe...but it beats paying shipping....fucking epic sad that a walgreens has better stock on new transformers than TRU, target or walmart.
