So, yeah...I've been reading for awhile that he's gone? Or out of the picture? What happened to that old pain in the ass?
His recent appearance was in Wolverine where he was gutted. However he survived and after some extensive surgery, he's still head of SHIELD.
Yeah, during the "Agent of SHIELD" storyline, right? At the end of it, he was clearly up and about again...but from the sounds of it in New Avengers, Daredevil, etcetc, he's out of commission for a good long time...which conflicts with the ending of the aforementioned storyarc..
Well he did survive the gutting, but I remeber the last issue of the storyline,he wasn't up and running around. Gorgon went after Fury and he was still in a bed all bandaged up and recovering. So who knows, maybe he's just laying low till he's fully healed.
But he was in a SHIELD command chair, all bandaged up, and giving out orders...remember, he says something about how they can't keep quiet much longer all the people that Wolverine has been murdering?
It's a really good read. But I'm a Bendis whore. The only problem is we've only got up to issue 4 out of 5. Issue 1 came out in early 2004. And who knows when issue 5 will be out.
Anyone want to place bets which will come out first, Secret War 5 or Iron Man 5? Seriously, the Gabrielle Del Torro BS is pissing me off. Yea, it takes long to paint the pages but seriosuly Gabe has done like 4 covers since that issue. You can't say he hasn't had the time.
