Since theres already Soundwave, Optimus, and Starscream what other classic transformers you want to see to return in the G1 Retro series? I wouldnt mind seeing these

original Megatron in gun form. I would definitely get it if Hasbro would do it

Prowl. yeah the Siege/War Cybertron Prowl is nice but a G1 Retro release with bright shiny silver plastic gun woiuld be nice

that weird UFO spaceship autobot. Sure he was small but still would like to see him in a G1 Retro box like the others

Definitely G1 Megatron (don't think it's possible, but one can hope, right?)and Prowl. But no "50 dollars" for prowl or any of the other car-bots; that's just insane.

I would also hope for G1 Jetfire, but I think the licensing (not to mention Harmony Gold and the death grip they have on Macross) would all but negate that one.

 

Diaclone paint schemes that have yet to be released. Skids and Crosscut both in red, include the extra head if it makes it easier. Red Mirage, as this would dictate whether I trade up from the Classics mold or not. Blue fucking Bluestreak. You know, pretty much any and every one that wasn't done. Ideally I'd like some in older molds as well. Cordon and Deep Cover from the Universe Sunstreaker/Sideswipe mold, T30 Trailbreaker in blue and in yellow, I have a grocery list. But more than ANY of those, I'd love if they finished up the Diaclone Insecticons and followed it by remolding the remaining Deluxe Insecticons from the previous molds. Oh, and the do the Beetras decos. Blue Barrage, Grey Chop Shop, the like.

First, wrong forum. Toy discussion goes to the "Toy Discussion" section.

Second, terminology. I was trying to wrap my head around what you meant by "G1 Retro" at first. New toys of classic characters, which we had gotten numerous of since 2006? Then I realized you were talking about reissues. The official name of the series as per Hasbro and Walmart appears to be "Vintage G1", but "reissues" would be fine, and less confusing than "G1 Retro".

Third, gun Megatron. That's a definte "never going to happen in a hundred years unless the laws and the culture change by 180 degrees". You can wish all you want, it's not going to happen outside Japan.

Fourth, Cosmos (that's the name of the "UFO Autobot" you mentioned). Hasbro already released two waves of Mini-Vehicles, and they all came on blister cards like their original 1984/85 selves, not in boxes.

Fifth, human multipack, extremely highly unlikely. How large do you want them to be anyways?

 

I'd say Defcon, since there was never a retail release of him.

all they do is take up valuable retail shelf space that could be going towards Generations and Studio Series

Vintage/Retro G1 reissue whatever the hell you want to call it. Megatron classic gun id love to see.

Its just a plastic "gun" sci fi robot. Nothing dangerous about it.

I would like to see more of the autobot cars be reissued. I could use a new Prowl, Smokescreen, bluestreak and Jazz.

Well, his gun mode is modeled after an actual gun...
With current US gun laws, Hasbro would have to at least put an orange cap on the barrel, and even then might not be able to sell it in all states.

 

Lots of kids have been shot over the years holding toy guys when cops can't tell exactly whats going on.

I concur, as the author of the other thread. We're tracking what has been released before now vs. to what's being released now vs. what could or most likely can't see the light of day down the road. Here, it's understood that gun Megatron is a 98% nope in America - but you can wish for it all you like I suppose. In my thread, we're looking more at honest possibilities.

 

Not sure if this thread is about classic G1 reissues or G1 characters done in the Generations line. Either way my answer is the same: Japanese G1. I want as much Japanese G1 as I can get.
