For me, it's MMC's Backdraft, such an underestimated figure but a lot of fun.

It's true that it had some issues, but once fixed with the replacement parts from MMC you can't go wrong with it.

Unique Toys Combaticons. They get a lot of hate for not quite being Masterpiece Scale, and the colors of Blast Off, and Swindle being off. But, that doesn’t matter to me.

Spinout is easily the most generally hated figure in my collection, but he’s my go to Toy accurate MP Sunstreaker. And one of my souvenirs from my first TFCon.

I also like Steelbane and Skullitron. With a few small changes and better QC they could have been great.

I really liked that era of TW, and especially that figure. It was one of my first 3rd party figs (along with a pair of the UT legends scale Headmasters), and I still like the aesthetic.

    TW-M03 Crank $55.24 + $4 shipping.

To the OP, see the Brainstorm/Brainwave comment above. And I'll mention that Maketoys' Divine Shooter has grown on me (though I'd be the first to admit to the horrible QC, at least on my copy), and some people seem to direct some ire toward the Fans Project Dinobots, and I think they are great!

    The first Masterpiece Optimus Prime.

All wacky-big, kinda goofy looking. But, also, really felt like the G1 cartoon (in that those animation models were often a little off themselves).

Actually, while I’m at it - the Machine Wars Megatron.

This sorta feels like being a Mac fan before iMacs, there was a time when a goofy looking light blue jet Megatron (with, what I think is a decent head sculpt) was all you could find...

Alien Attack El Cid. Complex in the most ridiculous of ways, and more proportionally accurate and solid in profile than Unique Toys Challenger or the TW figure. Truck mode is probably the best of the three, being proportionally accurate and not having giant hinges stick out the sides. Sadly he is definitely fragile in some areas, but those are generally easy to work around. He is also the only figure to be made that has his earlier forearm design from Age of Extinction as opposed to the knight design. His backpack is a bit underwhelming and his chest panels a little flat, but that's due to how he transforms more than anything else.

I too love Alien Attack El Cid. It has huge quality control issues, but it's a great figure if you're lucky.

I forgot about these! Yes, I too love them. They are the BIG BRUISERS that I always imagined the boneheads to be!

That’s my Inferno too. And I don’t even know him much as a character, but that is a really cool TF. I love that chunky monkey.

I just use him for alt mode, but I really love the original MP-5 Megatron. He's got a perfect (if a little large) alt mode. Add the Justitoys kit and it looks like it came right out of the show. Maybe at the time his transformation was "hard" so because of what I had heard I was a little intimidated when I went into it the first time....but it's actually pretty easy!

Gewalt, i have no idea why people don't like him, or even more insanely think ditka is better. He's got extremely clean jet and robot modes, he's very poseable, his colours are awesome, and he looks like the Guido Guidi blitzwing. his transformation also isn't a complete nightmare, and he's built super solidly. One of the most fun, best looking transformers I own.

I've always wanted to pick him up, but I've never gotten the "right" price for him. Hopefully when Fanstoys finally makes one I can find a good deal on a used Gewalt. That's how I ended up with their Sixshot, and I love that figure too.

Another vote for El Cid and i really dislike the truck bay chose for prime but i love the transformation and it presents so well in display in fact i have two so i can keep one like this

Also this red headed stepchild, i loved the clean design from day one though the head had to go, the flawed transformation didn't put me off and i found with patience and fine tuning it does tab together perfectly.
