MP-29 Shockwave seems to get a lot of hate, whether it's his colour, his height, his weight, his lack of paint or his floppy legs.
However despite all that I really love the figure.

Hot Soldiers Prime and Toyworld Wheeljack. HS Prime was my gateway drug to this whole Transformers thing, but yeah, that waist swivel killed it. I had Wheeljack as a kid but I didn't hold on to it for long, and as a car guy the alt mode is also important for me. that's why all iterations of Wheeljack that didn't use the Lancia Stratos as alt mode didn't appeal to me, until Toyworld came along.

I hate Gundog. Not like a burning hatred or anything and I don't hold it against those who like him but his proportions are just all wrong. He's way too beefy looking. Both FT and Takara pull him off so much better.

I really like mp-29 even though I ultimately choose Quakeblast. MP29 is straight out of the cartoon and they worked miracles pulling off those bot mode legs. I chose QB, though, because I prefer the character he represents - the Shockwave from the comics - over the subservient character from the cartoon.

I loved the color of toyworld crank aka Kup which many seemed to hate. The vibrant mint green is eye catching to me

I've still got a lot of love for Wardog. He's maybe not the best imagining of the source material in bot mode, but for me I think he's a pretty good example of a tank that transforms into a big old bruiser. And after a few times flipping him back and forth I don't really mind the transformation too much. Mostly ;)

I don't think people hate him, but would hate the sentiment that I like this guy more than Sphinx.

MP-11 and all the rest of the Seekers and Coneheads. I love these guys just the way they are.

I don’t think I have any 3P figures people hate on...but here are a few official ones I truly enjoy that seem to catch more hell than I think they deserve:

    MP-28 Hot Rod
    MP-25 Tracks
    TLK Sqweeks
    TR Astrotrain
    Wheelie (all versions)
    Universe Ironhide

Still love MP-09. Managed to get the reissue with the sturdier knees, and I just think this figure nails it looks wise. The Rodimus face sculpt is great, and he'd also be a damn near perfect Hotrod if he wasn't so big. Ok, the transformation isn't great, but it's a breeze compared to some of Fanstoys offerings (plus the combining gun in particular is prone to rocketing apart when you so much as breath on it), and I can't imagine a better looking representation of Rodimus coming out in the near future.

Had to replace those hands, though. Those horrible, skeletal hands... *shudders*

From a purely Sunbow POV, I can't argue that. But I had a fondness for the G1 toy and its big, stampy feet, and Gundog nails that. It's why I went with the toy color version.

Yep. I dig MP-29. Just wish he was about 10-15mm taller. Otherwise he's amazing
Yeah, Gundog always seemed like an example of what folks call "Chugsterpiece" to me. The size and finish of a Masterpiece but the sculpt feels more out of Hasbro's Chug line. I feel the same about MMC's Bruticus. For all the cleverness of his "all-in-one transformation" (or at least his "all-in-one plus extra feet transformation" ) the sculpts are way off base for MP styling.

And I do kind of enjoy Quakeblast (I have the black one) as a big beefy Marvel Comics iteration - even though I don't care about the comics. It was just nice to see what is effectively an improved, OS KO of a (to me) shitty figure.

He's definitely smaller than Buzzing. He's about a head bigger than regular carbots, and maybe half a head shorter than Ironhide. I don't have Buzzing but from pictures he looks at least as tall as MP Ironhide to me.

My unpopular favorites: Toyworld Coolsville, Evila Star and the coneheads.

As for my disliked popular bots: Fans Toys Phoenix, Hoodlum and Rouge.

And yes, I do currently own all those figures... Weird how it ended up as manufacturer vs manufacturer, though. I could even throw Leia in the first list, sort of.

People hate Coolsville? Or they just like Downbeat a little more. Maybe cause Cools is my choice and I hung out in that thread more, I only heard people hating his transformation. Which I also did not like.

And yeesssss! Hate Rouge’s face!!! Also sold Phoenix cause despite the build quality and face sculpt, he just looks off to me. Never took him out of the box.

All this talk about Toyworld’s Crank has made me interested but he doesn’t appear to be for sale anywhere, even eBay.
