Pretty much what the title says... I haven't even been collecting a year, but now that I've gotten all of the FP items, I was wondering what the most valuable or rare ones are in case of a sale?

 

I would think Cliffy, Snowman, Scythe and CC. Did you get the gas can upgrade? (Alt Prime gun and matrix)

i think the first run of city commander is pretty hard to find. sure there are the ko's and the re-released ones, but i think the original is hard to get. possibly the bruticus limbs?

 

1- Cliff Jumper
2- Scythe
3- Snowman
4- Gas Can
5- Shadow
6- City

Then the rest, which can still be found as production sizes increased quiet drastically.

BTW, how much did you nail down that SS for?

 

The Bruticus limbs are still in stock some places, for around $80 each.

I'd put Cliffjumper upgrade and Shadow Scythe at the top of my list.

 

Yea BM, I got the stupid gas can... for absolutely no reason at all.

And thanks guys. I'd completely forgot about the cliffjumper upgrade kit. I'm so used to looking at that now that I forget it's even an upgrade.

 

I also think you can tell by the run numbers at the time.

I think the CJ set was like 300.
The Snowman set was like 600 I think.

So find the run number, then you can really judge the rareness of it. Did you ever get the snowman set? I know when I first was hunting Superion, I had a chance to get him and passed. It was like $300 at the time. Hate to see what it is now.

Cliffjumper is by far the rarest. I think only a few hundred were released and only in Japan. I may be mistaken though.

I think you can probably get the energy ones individually lose pretty easily. Or were when I was looking way back when.

 

Yea, the gun was kinda meh but, the gas can looks good if you have Prime in truck mode. The matrix was pretty neat too, good thing the kit only cost about $20 

 

Hoenstly Alucard. I think people on here raise their prices even seeing a topic like this, so it's one of those things where if I see one great, but I'm not expecting anything.

And BM, it'd be epic if I owned alternators prime.

I keep a spreadsheet on the FP CJ set just out of morbid curiousity and it has almost never appeared for sale on ebay as long as I've been registered here at TFW (July 2010). That's pretty rare. I see more of the Jizaitoy Wheelie/Powerglide/Cyclonus than the CJ set.

I haven't kept tabs on the Superion base set or the upgrades.

CC, on the other hand, is pretty readily available.

I have been thinking for a while that even small speculation raise prices.

I almost know this for fact. In the past months I have been filling in some final alternators. So I was hunting waiting for prices to hit a comfortable level. Since then there has been like 3 or 4 threads on here about them. In all of em, I was praising on how great they were. Then took pics of em.

Every time those threads were active alternators figures sold for like 10-20 dollars over what they sold for like 2 weeks before those threads hit.

I bet your pics drove prices. The collection community is very easy to sway. I mean look at that damn igear ark set. One moran spent 400 on it. Next thing you know they are all selling on eBay for 400.

Funny thing is, you don't even know the full story. Maybe there was someone jacking up the auction and not paying it. There is no way to know. Now everyone in the b s t threads are trying to sell them at 400 as well.

Go figure.

 

Oh hell man, you could probably snag one here for about $20 loose/complete. Though I don't know how big you are on Alts in general so, I guess getting the gascan upgrade was a wtf moment
