I guess you never felt like a "gold bug".
Nope. Classics Bumblebee is NOT a VW Bug. Its a generic sports car designed as an amalgam of a "Hatchback" car and a VW Bug.
I always thought Classics Bumblebee looked a lot like a Toyota Matrix.
At least in the overall basic shape. And it seemed particularly appropriate.
A tuned Peugeot 206 would be cool for him
Crap, that looks much more like him than the Matrix does!
Also, for the record, in IDW, Goldbug and Bumblebee are seperate characters. On the off-chance Hasbro ever wanted to remake Goldbug, they could run with that idea.
You are incorrect.
Classics Bumblebee is NOT a VW Bug....of any kind.
Volkswagen [VW] has been unwilling to license the Beetle, or any of its models to HAS/TASK for a Transformer for the past few years.. To avoid having to find him a whole new altmode, the Classic version of 'Bee takes his design from a combination of a "hatchback" style car and a Bug. But its a made up design.
THis but it does remind me a little of a VW Rabbit lol
True...so hows it hangin Grimy?
The new legends goldbug looks fantastic!
I really liked the original Goldbug mold too.
I simply call Takara Animated Bumblebbe Goldbug
That entire post is just a contradiction. You just said it is and isn't a VW Bug at the same time.
What exactly did you think I meant when I said
What you did there? I see it.
For anyone who's familiar with Ridge Racer (at least the first PSP one), Classics Bumblebee looks a bit like the Age Abeille.
For reference (a bit small, but it's the best Google Images could get for me):
I said its an amalgam of a hutchback and a VW Bug, not a VW Bug itself. The fact that its an amalgam means that its not a Bug. How the heck is that contradicting?
Yeah I get that but in simple terms, it's just a different style of a bug which is what I said to begin with so you're agreeing with me.
Scotch Korean anyone?
His statement is not a contradiction of any kind.
The toy is of no actual real world design but was inspired by mixiong different cars from differnt manufactures..
That statements means it was a different years or model that also shared the title "VW Bug" or was from the same manufacture....which is not the case.
You were in error.
Its not any style of bug at all.
Its a made up design.
Oh I don't know why I forgot about this but there is another homage to Bumblebee and Goldbug we've all forgotten about.
Armada Sparkplug. While not actually a Bumblebee he does have a strong resemblance to the original character and I believe in japan he shares the same name with G1 Bumblebee. Oddly enough even though Japan normally doesn't reuse names they were better at naming Unicron Trilligy characters after their G1 Likenesses than the U.S. version. (Energon Downshift/Wheeljack and Energon Galvatron.)
While he never appeared on the Cartoon Sparkplug was remolded and painted gold. The Powerlink Optimus Prime however did appear in the cartoon changing to that color scheme randomly in the middle of an episode for no apparent reason.
I hated Aramda as a cartoon but loved the toy line.
Separate names with a comma.
