Maketoys's Cross Dimension line is still pretty new, and with its original designs and story, there're a lot of different directions the line can go in. We've already seen some pretty standard modernized, stylized updates to characters, but there's also some more out-there designs such as their upcoming not-Ultra Magnus.

I figured the potential this line has merits some discussion. So, what would you like to see in the Cross Dimension lineup?


Personally, I've said it numerous times, but I really want to see Shockwave and Soundwave. Preferably not a tape player on the latter.
I'd also love to see an Ironhide. Like, G1 Ironhide with Movieverse bulk would be super cool. And generally some more Autobots. Prowl, anyone?

 

As of now, a trailer for Striker Manus.

 

Autobots- Drift, Sideswipe, and Sunstreaker. Ironhide/Ratchet would be cool too.
Decepticons- Carnivac, Cyclonus, Blitzwing

 

Shockwave, Overlord (to go w/Ginrai), Scorponok (Ultra-class, sizewise). Also, anyone from RID/CR - Fire Convoy, UM, Megatron ...

 

That also turns into armor for bot mode

 

Armor for Striker Manus. Maybe a light version of armor: Backpack (with 5mm pegholes to plug in some guns in the back), some light side arm / leg armors, a nice gun. NONE transformable armor. Something that doesnt cost more than the figure...

I really want a Cross Dimension Hot Rod.

 

Star Saber and Victory Leo

 

Hot Rod, Magnus, Shockwave, a seeker and a fembot.

 

Rodimus, Star Saber + Leo, Seekers, Arcee, Soundwave, Shockwave, Bruticus.

 

Galvatron, possibly as a separate character to pit against Despotron.

Also, Cyclonus. Make him as alien-looking as can be.

Alpha Trion, because I know they'd make him beautiful. A little Vector Prime, a little Titans Return, a little something else.

Windblade, maybe.

Prowl, though I don't know what he should look like per say.

Kup, as a hardass veteran still in the game, with blast marks an' stuff.

Ultra Magnus, though that's probably a given, already.

Shockwave, though I'm not sure what I'd want his alt mode to be.

Astrotrain, if they came up with their own crazy Cybertronian battle train mode, sort of like Titans Return Astrotrain, only more posable and better constructed. And more dynamic-looking.

Arcee, maybe. Might be covered already by Azalea.

Hot Rod (because of course)

Jetfire, if he's anywhere near as creative and spacey as his War Within version.

Grimlock? (would splurge on Vulcan, if only he was a coupla' more heads taller next to Striker Manus, and if the dinobots weren't... you know, dead)

Aaaand Hardhead, if only to see how ridiculously edgey and over the top they would make his tank mode. Can you imagine? He'd be a beast!

 

There are so many "essential " G1 character homages I want to see that it's not even funny but I'd say the main ones I'd like to see their take on are shockwave and Star Saber/Victory Leo.

I'd like to see some original characters as well. Even as separate companies, I'd love it if Manus could end up in the Fansproject Warbot universe for a while just to get stuff like that pharoah character done by this line's designers. Hell, Skycrow is already involved, even.

 

Striker Noir may be the only figure in the CD line I get unless they do something really amazing with the Seekers, Soundwave, or Shockwave. I'm a sucker for any of those.

 

I'm still hoping for that Pharoahbot too.

 

I had forgotten about the Pharoah! I'd love to see a few more original characters from 3rd party companies starting with him

 

Mostly just the Bumblebee they've already shown, though I'd consider a Shockwave and Soundwave.

 

I'm trying to envision how compatible the style of these figures is with other lines. Generations Sandstorm looks good standing next to Manus, thanks to his rugged, mad-maxish look and ka-rayzee rotor-wheels making him fit into the exaggerated, apocalyptic setting of Cross Dimension. That's about it, as far as Hastak figures go, though. Sandstorm's pretty great, but he's kind of an oddity. Like, I can kind of imagine him being the first "Nomicon" Manus meets in the wastes, who'd then escort him to the others.

Some of MMC's reformatted figures fit well enough. I bet Titanika and Oberon will look GREAT as Rioter's extra muscle, since they kind of do their own thing and don't really go by a strictly IDW basis.

 

Something something Decepticons. Megatron, Shockwave, seekers. All voyagers

 

Gravity Builder looks great with Rioter Despotron. Just sayin'.

I don't know. I don't want to count Dinobots out just yet. After all, this is Cross Dimension. We could very well see some more Dinobots from an alternate universe come to the fight.
Which is kinda what I hope goes on with Thunder Manus in the story. Like, Thunder comes in from an alternate universe to aid Striker in his fight against Rioter. Which means it'd also be pretty sweet if Rioter forms a team of alternate Despotrons. I'd love to see a Cross Dimension version of 2001 RID Megatron.

 

I tip my hat. This is a crazy idea. But crazy good!!
