I have been thinking about this for a while. I think I have come up with a list of 10 things I would like to see avaliable for the Wii!

    1. Web based I.D. card like what Xbox has with the gamer card!

    2. Actual use of a user name instead of a Wii/DS ID number.

    3. Wii Ware to include apps (an audio/video app would be ace)

    4. DVD support! Its capable of doung it, so why not allow the software!

    5. Johnny Lee to be employed by a developer!

    6. More Channels: Demo (for Wii and DS), Movie Trailers, Audio/Video, etc...

    7. Broader storage support. I mean how can the Wiii NOT use the SD slot for more storage of files other than game saves. And we know that you can back-up/copy Wii channels to the SD card, so why cant we run them from it?

    8. Wireless Keyboard! and make sure it works with all aspects of the we that involve typing. Who dosent want a WiiBoard.

    9. Mic/Cam support. Lets add these extra levels of immersion into games.

    10. Open up the Online/WiFi. Their needs to be broader support for online play. I had read somewhere that Nintend was limiting the online aspect to asure quality games. This is nonsence. Open it up and let players decide what a quality game is. Sony did it with ethe PS1, and you see what happened their!

    Wii:

    - More systems for the VC

    - Demo channel (MP3 Demo channel was cool, but we need more and in one channel, not one for each)

    - More/better Wii/DS connectivity (PSP/PS3 is doing it, and its doing it good)

    - SD Card to store games and play it from there

    - Downloadable songs for Guitar Hero III

    - Ability to go back to Menu screen while playing GC games

    - Longer usernames

    - Usernames instead of friend codes

    DS:

    - Storage cartridge (so you can download a game from the Wii to the DS and save it on it instead of losing it when you turn the DS off)

More games that are on the level of quality as Nintendo's titles from 3rd party developers.

More Zack and Wiki type games and less "waggle fests".

Software titles designed for the Zapper that are inexpensive arcade-fun, and not 50 dollar big titles like RE:UC.

A Time Crisis compilation disc for use with the Zapper.

More Turbo-Duo games for VC, like Dragon Slayer and Ys.

More Neo Geo games for VC, Japan already has KoF 94.

Hmm, does the system even play regular music CDs? Never tried...

    What I'd like to see-

    1. More games released that use classic controls as an option. RE4 did it well. NiGHTS did it effectively(and was probably a saving grace as most reviews gave low scores thanks to nearly useless motion controls). Not every game on the system must use the gimmick. Either that or start letting 3rd party developers have the full remote devkit without charging an extra fee. For a "revolutionary" game system half the library is rather unplayable shit thanks to the fact the controls suck.

    2. Work on smoothing out the damn motion controls and know when to use them and when to press a button. Twilight Princess was an early game, yes, but also 1st party and should not have been as clunky as it was to play.

    3. Better quality on the VC lineup. Stop releasing titles that used game stores sell for a quarter or less. If it costs MORE to buy on VC than it does vintage then there's a problem. We want Earthbound and StarTropics, not Elevator Action and JJ and Jeff. Up the releases to 4 a week if you must throw in a garbage title with it.

I paid $250 retail for the Wii and still haven't totally felt as if I got my money's worth and have yet to be fully impressed. The fact it gets more use as a Gamecube is sad, considering I sold my Gamecube when I got this.

Downloadable demos is top of the list for me. Although proper "gamer tags" rather than silly numbers is a very close second.

World of Warcraft for Wii. I'm serious. I just started playing the game on my laptop (I'm Ithenus, Blood Elf Rogue at level 13 right now, BTW), and I'd definitely see the capabilities with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk attachment.

Not really his fault if he doesn't like the selection out. Aside from Mario Galaxy, nothing has really gotten my attention (I played Twilight Princess on Cube, and been there done that with Resident Evil 4 (twice)), and Smash bro's has been pushed back to Feb, so yeah.... games.... namely that Star Wars game where the Wiimote is the Lighsaber.... a lightsabre attachment would geek me out too.

I realize I don't speak for everyone, but who really needs the Wii to have DVD support at this point?

I agree very much! And make it easier to locate as well

You'd be surprised how often my brother uses his 360 as a DVD player, I wish my Wii could play DVD's. It's nicer to just have ONE unit that does everything.
