Rad, Jackpot & Kick-Off all seem like sports cars. Rollout a bulldozer or jeep. Skyfall a fighter jet, no idea on Mainframe but I did a custom from WFC Blaster as an armoured research computer.
Tread shot a tank, Krok has been made into a jet but I think a rally car suits his sports persona better. Banzaitron has been a boat, a tank and a sports car. Personally I like the black sports car; think it suits the secret police persona from IDW well. Axer looks a sports car but I prefer motorcycle. Gutcruncher seems a tank but I think I'm gonna get titan megatron & turn him into gc so he's now a triple changer than incorporates his jet too. Slicer I'm pretty sure is a blue Wheeljack.

well the rumours for Titans Returns Krok has him as a Skullcruncher repaint, considering his name, it's a fine alt. mode.

 

For G1 updates I like this Greenlight as medic vehicle...I've seen her as similar to Animated Bumblebee...and...Lancer definitely seemd the bulkier one...Actionmasters would work for this threads discussion perfectly...

 

Do you remember that Million Publishing boxed set with a green Skids and an orange Crosscut? As far as I'm concerned, that was Greenlight and Lancer, and if they ever manage to do those in the Generations mold, I'll buy them harder than I've ever bought anything before. Except Diaclone stuff.

Any thoughts on the IDW two some Anode & Lug...and...what there alt modes are...Lug looks a bit like the deployers new Titans Return data slug mode...but...more like a signal scrambler...

Lancer = a dress?

Shock = Some kinda tracked electricity-oriented vehicle, like maybe the Maser trucks from Godzilla movies?
Ore = Obviously a tracked drill vehicle

Subsea = obviously a submarine

Anode = jet plane
Lug = a briefcase?

Also...

Emirate Xaaron = a limousine?
Alpha Trion = a boat?

 

Well we know Krok is a crocodile in TR for certain now.

The Legends repaint of Warpath called Sparkcrusher was obviously Gutcruncher. That said using a Shapeways faceplate I did customise Titans Hardhead as Gutcruncher.

I also repainted Generations deluxe Trailbreaker as Kickoff. G1 Kickoffs backpack even fits on his back.

Energon Divebomb always struck me as being influenced by Banzaitron so I repainted him as such.

Treadshot was originally inspired by the Machine Robo Colt 45 and you could see his legs became the handle. He did get a Botcon toy repainted from deluxe Warpath.

Despite being named Chromia, the Botcon repaint of Energon Arcee is obviously homaging Moonracer and that's who it is to me.

 

Greenlight would transform into an old-fashioned car.

 

Anybody ever thought about what Slammers' face would look if he had a bot mode...???...

 

Judging from the tank treads, I'd say Shock and Ore are tanks or Treaded loaders.

Either that or cranes / Bulldozers.

From the others I cannot genuinely tell.

 

With Shock & Ore being Duobots...are you saying the upper, the lower or both likely turn into treaded vehicles...???...

Shock + Ore = Drill Tank

Lug = Backpack

Anode = Cybertronian jet

 

I look at Lancer with all those armor plates and my first thought is she actually has a Beast mode. A simple one, but it just feels like all those plates would slide around to turn her into a snake or something.

Real bad idea: she turns into a giant lance for use by a larger bot.

 

One forms 'top' treads, one forms 'bottom' treads, and they expand on shocks/struts to hold on to the inside of the tunnels they drill so they're better able to control their movement while digging down, and simultaneously compressing/reinforcing the tunnels they make to reduce the chance of cave-in.
