What do people use to sculpt parts?

    Im sculpting a new head for a custom im making. ive never done this before so im looking for a push in the right direction. What material works best? any tips for sculpting?

    I am guessing this is in the wrong place :)  Anyway, I use plasticine for the sculpt then mould with RTV Silicon and cast with urethane.

    Check out the Radicons section of these boards. You'll be blown away by everything fellow fans and customizers have to offer. For your particular situation, I recommend this tutorial as well as this one. Be sure to check the Table of Contents for tons more customizing info!

    aves apoxy sculpt is really good, and games workshop green stuff has been working well for me lately

    I too think this is in the wrong place,but since I'm here I'll answer the question,I actually use plastic from other figures I have chopped up for kitbashing projects,they are great filler if you have space you wanna fill in,and I usually use epoxy resin for stuff like that,pretty strong too.
