Notable examples include H.E.R.B.I.E, a character who originated from the 70s Fantastic Four cartoon, to fill the role of the Human Torch. X-23, who originated from X-Men Evolution would become a character in the mainstream Marvel universe. And Harley Quinn, who originated from the Batman: Animated Series.
    Are there anymore?

Also the less remembered Lock-Up, as early as the late 90s. More recently, Roland Daggett (by mention only) with the latest origin of the current Clayface, and upcoming, Phantasm (though a similar character, The Reaper, as been in Batman comics for a while, mainly in "Year Two")

    Adding to the DCAU's pedigree;

    - Nora Fries, and with her Mister Freeze's updated tragic origin.
    - Livewire, the minor Superman villainess
    - Everything to do with Batman Beyond, of course. Terry McGuiness and the costume being the main things that have crossed over since then.

Marvel side, Sort of a cheat, but Earth 65 Gwen Stacy's name change from Spider-Gwen (or Spider-Woman, as she was known in the books themselves) to "Ghost Spider" was done in conjunction with the Marvel Rising animated movie.

Another messy one, but the character of Nick Fury Jr in 616 Marvel comics was created after Samuel L Jackson's MCU character took off. But his casting as Nick Fury was based on the Ultimate Universe version of the character, who had always looked like Jackson in the first place because they licensed his likeness.

Oh yeah, I forgot Livewire. I'll also add Roxy Rocket, though she's barely in, I think, one issue in a bit part of Detective Comics when Paul Dini did his run. Still, that counts.

Oh, and I can't believe I forgot, Jimmy Olsen himself counts. He originally appeared in the Superman radio show before being added to the comics, though some fans think a unnamed copy boy in one of the very early Superman stories might also be him.

Yeah, he's probably the biggest, most famous example out of anyone.

There’s a version of Peggy Carter as Captain America that was created for a mobile game before ending up in a volume of Exiles.

Chloe Sullivan was original to Smallville and they eventually brought her into the comics. No idea what her status is in the comics now. Probably not much due to the actress & her sex cult legal issues. They probably don't want to use the character since it will conger up issues with the actress that made the character famous.

She’ll probably be killed off, then decades later get cult status and be resurrected as a goblin queen.

Would Buffy & Shang Chi open up a can of worms?

For Transformers and other merchandise-driven comics, it's probably easier to list characters who originated in the comics who eventually got toys.

Kaldur aka Aqualad from Young Justice was also created for media first, with the comics later adapting their version of Jackson Hyde to match more closely with Kaldur if I'm not mistaken.

Does anybody have any information for when this version of Aqualad was conceived?

I know the character Appeared first in Comics but I’m not sure when or for what media the character was created and intended for first

Also, there are a number of comic characters who’s back stories or powers have been altered after being featured in other media.....evrn Batman and Spider-Man
