I was thinking about this when I was watching TJOmega's video about Reactivated and I thought that it would be cool if they included a headmaster or targetmaster in the game as I think it could make for a really fun gimmick if for example there was some kind of puzzle part where you need to disconect from the bigger robot in order to open a path for it or if the bigger robot gets damaged you can escape and search for parts to repair it and keep going instead of dying straight away. So with that said who would you like to play as?

 

I think it would also be interesting to play as a beastformer

• Blitzwing: Whereas most triple changers have some variation of flying and ground based rolling altmode, blitzwing has two fully armed modes. Having had fun as scientists in high moon games, the ability to switch between aerial superiority and potent tank could lead to some fun tactics. Similarly - Apeface and Snapdragon
• Blurr- Sideswipe had a neat dash mechanic in devestation that was helpful for applying pressure to enemies. Whereas sideswipe dabbled, Blurr should specialize in mobility and pressure. Playing as him in single or multiplayer seems like a blast. See also- Override
• Soundwave/ blaster/ fracture - having mained fl4k in borderlands 3, little minions can add a lot to a fight. Drawing fire, special attack commands, or even just immobilizing goes, parents are handy. That said, you'd probably want to give the non fracture folks redesigns- nobody plays a transformers game to turn into an immobile brick

 

Sounds like the gameplay style of Titanfall 2.

 

Punch/Counterpunch in an infiltration stealth mission would be cool

 

A stealth mission with Scrounge might be fun.
Maybe a Headmaster mission. You fight as for instance Stylor to make it back to Chromedome, and then continue the mission as Chromedome.

Or combine the 2 with Soundwave or the Armada characters. You work your way to a safe hiding spot as the larger character and then deploy the Cassettecon or Minicon to scout around.
An escape/outrun mission as Prime Arcee or Animated Prowl where you have to rely on your quick nimble motorcycle mode, only transforming for brief attacks. Stay in robot mode too long and you quickly get pinned down and overwhelmed.

I've never heard about the titan fall franchise, I just made up that gameplay idea out of the headmaster gimmick so I guess great minds think alike.

 

I agree, headmasters have so much untapped potential in gaming. Especially for puzzle solving sequences.

 

Optimus Primal seems like he'd be all kinds of fun from a platforming perspective. Imagine using the gorilla mode to swing around the environment while the armament of the robot mode handles most of the combat.

Also any given one of the G2 Laser Rods for some hack 'n slash gameplay.

 

I don't want characters per se, but more or less features like:

To be able to play as the Titan/Tank units from FoC/WFC, you know, the big-ass Mf'ers, and wreck some havoc.

An ultimate or killstreak I have always wanted since FoC was to be the Torso of a combiner group and call in the group and transform and wreck havoc as a combiner.

Titan battles. Ever since they had Metroplex, I would love to have him be like the Ultimates from Battlefield 1 when a side was losing to really fuck some shit up.

Constant content updates honestly. That was the biggest downer for me when FoC was only going to get a few DLCs and call it a day. I really wish they kept adding new content to those games.

Casseticons that you can deploy and wreck some havoc

Just triple changers in general, I honestly don't care who. Hell, I would even take something like the Guardians from FoC

 

Double dealer based on your actions going between the autobots and decepticons could alter the story and have different outcomes for endings in game.

 

I think I would want a game where you built your own Transformer from one of a few classes that determine your basic alt mode (with some aesthetic choices) in a WoW-style open-world game. There would be a few initial tweaks and later upgrades that could be made to hybridize the class somewhat and tweak the alt mode and armor (robot mode build). Faction could also be chosen, but you wouldn’t play as Bumblebee or Jazz or Hound, etc.— canon characters would only appear as NPCs or bosses.

 

A sixchanger would be a cool character to play as.

A game where you play as Quickswitch and have to confront Sixshot would be pretty rad.
