Don't recall seeing a thread like this, so pardon me if it's old hat.

Ever since Hasbro first came up with the idea of reintroducing "Classic" characters in the late '80s (Powermaster Prime and the Classic Pretenders = a great band name), certain characters get reused very often, and in ways that go way beyond just homages or keeping the name in circulation.

So who do you have the most different versions of right now? (not multiple copies of the same figure)

 

Prime, no doubt.

He is our Snake Eyes.

 

Starscream, and there is no close second.

It's gotta be Megatron, there are so many angry dictators on my shelf.

 

For my part it's Starscream (four), but he's followed closely by Prime (three, one a Leader and one an iGear knockoff MP), Ravage (three), Bumblebee (three), and Megatron (three, two of them Leader class).

 

Actually, Starscream is all the way up to five if you count Animated Sunstorm...which to me is a "sycophantic Starscream clone," not really a "Sunstorm."

 

Definitely Prime for me. After that it's probably Megs and then a tie for third between Bee and Skywarp.

 

Optimus Prime, I'm not trying to, it's just ending up that way.

 

cool question. can't really check to be exact but i'd say prime is number one followed by starscream.

 

That's exactly what I meant by my Snake Eyes comment.

Between Prime, Bee, and Starscream, anyone who's in this thing of ours ends up with a minimum of five each.  

 

Easily Megs, at a guess 30-40 of him, and I'm nowhere near finished yet. They're all from G1, G2, and Animated, no dinosaurs etc. yet.

I only own three Primes, Animated 2-pack (to get Megs!), Ani. Voyager, and Fire Guts Ginrai.

 

My top four are pretty much the top four transformers - Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee and Starscream, in that order. Though Bumblebee is threatening to knock off Megs as number two, just through sheer numbers of toys he's getting lately.

 

I think Bumblebee ... somehow.

 

Sadly, I counted and it's Bumblebee for me.

I have 16 of him!

I have 13 Megatrons (not including 3 Beast Wars as they are different characters in the context of this thread) and 13 Primes.

 

Optimus Prime. Not counting Optimus Primals, Nemesis Primes, Scourges, and the two "Leo Primes", I've got probably 40. Counting those, I've got 49. I think. It's been a while since I counted.

 

67 Primes, but that includes maybe ten Primals as well.

On one hand, we got Primes through RiD and the Unicron trilogy. OTOH, we got Megatrons all through Beast Wars. I think I lost my list in a laptop crash but this gives me an excuse to dig for it!
