Hi all,

First of all, I just want to say that I love the transformers since I was a kid and I have a great respect of the characters, story and the history of the franchise. I saw DOTM and overall I just feel really sad that Michael Bay seems to have miss the essences of what the Transformers is all about. I just want to know if anyone our there feel the same way. If I am wrong, please enlighten me.

1. Prime said, "Let's KILL them All!" The Prime that we know. The Prime that we love, will never, ever say such a thing... That was so out of character.

2. Megatron was beat up and looked damaged since the beginning of the movie. If he is so poor and broke, where did that whole fleet of ships and other decepicon comes from? If Shockwave can afford to build a giant worm to destroy everything, he can't repair the leader of the Decepticon? Doesn't make sense...

3. Megatron had a deal with Sentinel Prime. How and why did Megatron just let him push him around without even a fight? He was depress laying in some corner until Carly calls him a bitch before he would finally wake up and fight Sentinel???? Megatron was out of character in the movie. His attitude was just wrong in so many ways. Am I the only that feels this way?

4. Sentinel Prime suppose to be a hero, a mentor, and a someone you look up to. Optimus said if he hadn't disappear with the space bridge device we would of won the war. Instead he betrayed the autobot and made a deal with Megatron. In order to save Cybertron, he would go ahead and kill all the human on earth??? Again, Sentinel Prime is so out of character is not even funny.

5. Sam is a freakin war hero for the United states. He gotten a metal on TV from the President of the United states. He has a close relationship with a super being from another planet. You are telling me he can't find a job??????? I know it's a movie, but how can you accept that? You have +100 Million dollars budget to make this film. You can't come up with a better plot than that?

Am I the only that feel this way??? Am I wrong????

For #1, it was actually kind of in character with movie Prime's personality. But out of character with the "Optimus Prime archetype," then yeah it's out of place.

I didn't like the short ass and abrupt ending. Seriously? They seriously couldn't have made the fight with Prime and Megs longer than literally 10 seconds? At least make Megs put up a damn fight and put some more dialogue between the two to flesh up their characters one last time.

The flying squirrel scene and the falling through buildings scene could both have been shorter. Especially the former one.

Also, I wish Driller was gone entirely in exchange for more action with the smaller robots. I don't care for some big transformer that crashes your computer but barely does anything in the movie, k?

Yeah, I totally agree with you. The fight between Optimus and Megatron was too short. Its just not satisfying. I thought he died too easily. The fact that Optimus was killing other bots and had no hesitation really bugs me. He was savage, and that is NOT Optimus Prime.

nothing, everything on the Movies Never bugged me (Yes i liek the humping dogs/Wheelie, simmon ass and devs ball in rotf)

but i DO Wish the twins were kept im sure the scene could have redemend the characters

 

CloverJolt being a back-ground charater. 

 

"Killing other bots and had no hesitation?" WTF? What's he supposed to do, stop and say, "Hmm, let me think about this". They're the enemy; they're killing Humans; they're trying to take over the Earth; they deserve to die. Mercy and war do not go together.

 

Speaking about the twins.... Isn't it odd that the all powerful Devastator was taken down by those two a hit from the rail gun?? I mean, it should be Optimus that had the final hit. That fight was absolutely disappointing.

 

The dorky humor that was supposedly going to be lessened. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the occasional comedic relief that characters like Simmons provide, but some scenes were just ridiculous (exp: Deep Wang and the red cup thing).

I understand he is at war and I am not complaining that the bots had to die. I just want to point out his attitude at which he was doing it from. "Let's KILL them all" is just not Optimus. If he would of disable them elegantly without killing them and IronHide was like, "Optimus what are you doing? we need to kill them." Then I think that would fit Optimus's character better.

Very little bugs me about it. The only thing that really sticks out is that I thought the banter Starscream and Megs had towards the beginning was setting up an even bigger split amongst the Decepticons than what actually happened - I was pretty much hoping for Starscream vs. Megatron vs. Sentinel vs. Shockwave.

 

What bugs me the most?

That Shockwave was not the main villain.

They lied to use about Shockwave being the main villain. THEY HAVE MADE A GRAVE MISTAKE!

 

What's worse? Being put to death as quickly as possible (note that Optimus always attacks the head, which is the quickest way of ending consciousness) or being disabled but kept alive? Just put them to death. Period. They're the bad guys. I understand that it may have been out of character, but to be honest, movie-verse Optimus has the most practical outlook on fighting a war: putting an end to the enemy and eliminating any chance of a comeback.

I totally agree with you. Starscream had too little part in this whole series. He is suppose to be devious and plotting to overthrow and stab Megatron on the back. They should of made something like Starscream got a hold of the matrix and transform into a giant and all powerful being,( Sunstorm) somehow Optimus and Megatron had to join forces to take him out sort of scenario. Megatron then tries to screw Optimus and end up taking his own medicine. etc etc...

 

Look at all OP had been through. His mentor,the one who he looked up to all of his life betrayed him and killed his best friend. The Decepticons took over Chicago,killed countless humans and had the intention to enslave the human race. What was he supposed to do??? Anyway:
The OP and Megs final fight was weak,short and one sided
Ironhide's death was never mentioned again
Bay cut out the Twins death
Bay changed Wheeljack and Brawl's names because it was "cool"
Ferrari changed Mirage's name
Ratchet did very little
BB had more kills than Ironhide. That's messed up
Shockwave went out like a bitch and had one word, ONE WORD!!!!
The Constructicons were underused
Topspin, Jolt, Sideways, Chromia etc. had no lines
The writing was weak at times and they had to rely on dumb jokes
The humans had too much focus
Bay had more focus on explosions than making the Robots into good Characters

 

He was a cover up for Sentinel. Get over it

 

Yeah, I forgot to mention those too.
