Best buy: Legends LG25 Blurr- sliiightly biased since he's a figure I've wanted for since 90'-91', whenever I originally saw the movie for the first time on VHS.
Worst buy: There is none. I don't buy stinkers or figures I have mild interest in.

Best: probably LG25 Blurr. just awesome sauce.

Worst: I did pretty good this year, tie between Legends Hardhead and SDCC Sentinal Prime: not that they are BAD, but Hardhead is too tiny and mine was super floppy and Sentinel just has ridiculously lame alt modes. (but i am a sucker for translucent plastic, and he looks good in 'bot mode)

Best: Hasbro TRU Masterpiece Starscream (after the Takara release, it handled like a dream), and MP27 and MP-30. Best 3P buys for me were Despotron and Stomp.
Worst: MP-11NT. Floppy and loose. For 3rd party I'd say Omnigonix Spinout.

    Hmm... toughie.

Best: CW & UW Computron - Can't really separate the two as I went 'best of' on both sets.

Worst: TR Ravage - So many nice legends in Titans Return, but they totally tank it on the 'cassette' animals.

I wouldn't call it worst figure, but it's my least enjoyable figure that I've gotten this year.

MMC Jaegertron (Lockdown), it just has some issues that really drag it down for me in comparison to many other figures I got in 2016.

I can't even comprehend how, with how good most of TR has been, how bad these are. (the birds too) Just abysmal.

Best: TR Triggerhappy, 2nd goes to Onslaught for completing Bruticus, 3rd goes to TR Bumblebee based off the reviews

Worst: CW Blast OFf, he isn't terrible, just not amazing

If we are really talking about the best and worst BUYS of the 2016 year then.

Best: TR Fort Max- I was able to get him for only $60!

Worst: MP Bumblebee- I only paid $55 which was the less then the retail price but it's still too much for a MP that is smaller then a deluxe figure.

Best - TR Hardhead and Wolfwire. Excellent updates to some of my favorite toys as a kid, even if Wolfwire's name sucks and the plastic holding his back flap on broke.

Worst - TR Galvatron. With the terrible head gimmick and no reasonable place to put Nucleon in turret mode, he's all around disappointing. If only they built some kind of cockpit onto the outside of his legs that Nucleon could have sat in.

    BEST: MP-29, without a doubt.
Honorable mentions: MP Magnus, Primal and Starsaber. All amazing. There were MANY others, mainly TR-related, but these stand out.

WORST: NuRiD Starscream. Gads I hate that thing. It's already in the parts bin.
Dishonorable mentions: NuRiD Legion Groundpounder, NuRiD G1-deco Grimlock (that I got in a lot from Goodwill). All disappointing and weak.

    Ebay:
Best Buy: Transformers Legends Fortress Maximus. The ONLY version of this mold to get... it's perfect
    Also:
    - Planet X Vulcan (Grimlock), one of the best 3p figures ever made.
    - Simple Version Perfect Effect Hand / Feet KOs... because $16 better hands and feet for Combiner Wars were EXACTLY what was needed all along.
-Transformers Adventure Frenzy/Rumble. I always wanted this mold, which was hard to find (end expensive) with Henkei and canceled with CHUG. Was worth the wait. Great molds at a great price.

Worst Buy: The Titanmaster heads. I have no clue what I'm going to do with these guys that don't have bodies now that I actually have them...

can't recommend these enough over the lame TR version. Love these guys. Forgot they were released under Adventures and not Legends.

Yeah. They sit on my CHUG Season 1 Decepticons shelf along with:
    -Hegemon (Megatron)
    -Hercules (Devastator)
-Universe Starscream, Classics Skywarp, Generations Thundercracker
    -WFC Soundwave
    -Henei Hound's Ravage
    -Cybertron Soundwave's Lazerbeak as Laserbeak

They go really well. A lot better than the TR version.

Does it count if it wasn't a purchase but I got it as a gift? If so I would give the best (as of right now because there is still 17 days left in 2016) to MP Optimus Primal. The worst I would have to say would be TR Voyager Optimus Prime. It is not a bad figure, just that mine can't stand up unless something is behind it. The sliding piece where the legs meet the waist is just way to loose and it always falls forward.

Best: Carnifex Overlord. Jesus Fucking Christ I don't think such a perfect mix of media design adherence and gorgeous original engineering has existed before or will ever exist again.

Best official: I have to give it to TR Brainstorm, I was veering close to just dropping collecting all together but that magnificent bastard drew me back in.

Worst: TR Brawl? I honestly forget the majority of figures I actually even got this year, so I have to name him simply because of how much I hate his goddamn shit elbows. I certainly don't hate the whole figure - the trick with the mispositioned combiner peg strut to fill out his chest ensures I love the look - but he's the lowest opinion-holding figure I'm sure came from this year.
