I'm trying to narrow down to my favourite 5 for an article I'm doing, and it's not easy.

MP-1: my first Prime. MP-10 might be a superior figure but this guy will always be special.

G1 - a classic figure that comes with his own little base and Roller. Pure iconic class.

Animated Deluxe Optimus Prime - Animated is still my favourite series and he reminds me of that time. The weird cartoon proportions work oddly well.

WFC OP - altmode is a little odd but he looks like a complete badass. This is one Optimus you don't mess with.

That weird Classics Prime with the terrible altmode - yeah, you know, that one that came with the tank Megatron. Sure the truck mode looked like bottom but the robot mode was incredibly flexible and posable.

 

My objectively subjective list

1. MP-04 Masterpiece Optimus Prime Perfect Edition
-the most cartoon accurate G1 Optimus Prime with trailer. Diecast construction

2. Powermaster Optimus Prime
- The jump in engineering from G1 Prime to this release is incredible

3. MP-10 Masterpiece Optimus Prime v2.0
- no intro needed

4. G1 Optimus Prime
- no intro needed

5. ROTF Leader Optimus Prime/Henkei/Classics Optimus Prime

 

1. MP-10 - a perfect representation of the G1 character
2. G1 - the first and still one of the best
3. Classics - one of my favorite TFs to just fiddle with
4. G1 Powermaster - a total brick but still really cool
5. MP-01 - MP-10 is better overall, but this first MP is truly worthy of the title "Masterpiece"

Honorable Mentions: AoE Evasion, Prime FE, WFC

 

MP10, Henkei, Jetwing, Autobots United, and if Orion Pax counts, him too

 

This list seems to switch up rankings for me, but generally the same figures:

1.) MPP-10 Wei Jiang Oversized Optimus Prime - KO, but still my best Optimus Prime figure.
2.) MP-10 - So great, the definitive OP for a long time.
3.) Classics Optimus Prime - Still love this mould and its poseability.
4.) MP-1 - The beginning of the MP line, and, though surpassed, still amazing.
5.) G1 Optimus Prime - Still one of my favorites.

Honorable Mention: AoE Evasion Mode Optimus Prime. Still prefer the G1 look, but I've modded mine enough that I really appreciate this amazing feat of engineering. Someday, I may plunk down the cost of the oversized Wei Jiang version, and that is something, since I don't buy movie figures.

 

Mine would have to be:
PMOP- my first prime and still my favorite look
MP10-V I know it's a KO but good size
TR PMOP- because he tries to be like the original
FE- Prime from Prime
Classics Prime Voyager
