After many months of my buddy gushing about Berserk, I finally watched the Netflix films and instantly LOVED them. He got me copies of the manga and started reading them today and they are absolutely fantastic. Can't wait to see where this goes.

If It's for My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord book 9. This is the final book, I will miss this series.

I'm finishing up on Star Wars: Coruscant Nights III: Patterns of Force. After that, I'm honestly taking a bit of a break from Star Wars novel reading for awhile and start reading Dune by Frank Herbert and possibly Interview With The Vampire by Anne Rice as well.

They were, and both Lovecraft and Howard died fairly young (46 and 30).

Are Shah and the End of Time by Roshani Chokshi. It’s okay. I’ve also been working through The Stand by Stephen King, but at 700 pages in and 500 to go I may quit that one again.

Do audiobooks count for this thread? If so I'm on book 4 (Jingo) of The Ankh-Morpork City Watch series from Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels.

My girlfriend has been a huge TP fan for a long time and has been trying to get me to read him since she's known me. I'm mainly doing the audiobook versions because she mainly borrows her books from the library and I already had an audible subscription anyway. I think the City Watch series was an excellent place for me to start. All of them have been wonderful so far and Nigel Planer's performance for the audiobooks has been incredible.

I started reading Dune by Frank Herbert today. It's pretty interesting so far and I'm already up to page 76.

Nice! One of my favorite books! :D

I'm reading Whiteheads Underground Railroad. I like it, though the topic matter is a major downer.
I also am re-reading Egan's A Visit from the Goon Squad for an article I'm working on. Great book about the passage of time.

yeah the old X-Wing books were great years ago last time i read them. mostly the first 4 books that i read. By the way which book should I read first? Bacta War or Courtship of Princess Leia since Courtship seems to take place like during or right after the Kryptos Trap

Try hitting Wookiepedia. They have a great list of the Legends timeline. Technically, the Leia book occurs within the first five years of RotJ, and before the Thrawn Trilogy (which is amazing if you haven’t read them). If you’re going for the timeline, it’s a good start working towards Unifying Force, which I thought was the high point of Legends.

Recently had a power outage for three days. Read some Hercule Poirot stories from a collection I've had for some time. Definitely can see the Sherlock Holmes inspiration, even aside from the direct references. A few things almost felt like they were straight lifted. Overall not bad, though.
